Nokia 5.1 may be headed to the U.S. too

HMD Global may not have confirmed that its newly introduced budget-friendly and mid-range smartphones, the Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 2.1 will be making to the United States, but it appears they will soon be available for purchase in the country.

We reported last week that at least one retailer in the U.S., B&H Video will bring the dual-SIM Nokia 3.1, and now we're happy to let fans know that another Nokia-branded smartphone is likely to be introduced in the country.

No less than four FCC (Federal Communications Commission) listings of the Nokia 5.1 have been recently spotted, each with slightly different specs. Depending on the market, HMD's mid-range smartphone will be available in different memory variations, but it will include or not dual-SIM and NFC (Near Field Communications) support.

Since the Nokia 5.1 is about to receive FCC's certification, there's a high chance the smartphone will be available for purchase in the U.S. through multiple retailers. Unfortunately, we doubt any U.S. carriers will pick this one up, but the good news is the smartphone shouldn't cost more than $220.
