Remedy Entertainment announced its upcoming game Control during Sony’s E3 2018 press conference with a release date of 2019. While the game will be coming to PC and consoles including the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X but, it won’t be 60 FPS for the upgraded consoles.

This is according to Thomas Puha, head of communications at Remedy, who confirmed that upcoming game from Remedy Entertainment won’t be 60 FPS for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

When asked about what FPS the game will be able to achieve on the consoles, Puha noted that Control will look great on current-gen consoles and added that they aren’t discussing the FPS for the game right now.

We aren’t talking about any of that right now. Rest assured that Remedy has always done technically really, really good games. So we’ll make sure we’re taking care of all the different platforms.

However, he did confirm that Control won’t be able to achieve 60 FPS on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X saying “We’re not going to be 60FPS, I can say that”.

He also noted that the game will “run at 30 frames-per-second” on Xbox One and PS4 and “it will be fine”.

While Remedy Entertainment isn’t being specific about the FPS and the resolution for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X but, one thing we can be sure of that the game will be an intriguing one.

Remedy Entertainment has a knack for delivering unorthodox video game experiences and the upcoming game, Control, looks no different. I am definitely excited for the upcoming game from Remedy Entertainment.

Visually the game looks very similar to Quantum Break and that is the total extent of the similarities between the two games.

The game will put players in the shoes of Jesse Faden, who is the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control, and will take on supernatural forces to survive and find out what is happening in the always shifting headquarter of the Bureau.

Control is an action-adventure game in development at Remedy Entertainment and will launch sometime in 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
