Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Is Skipping Multiplayer For Good

Ubisoft has yet again decided to concentrate on the single-player campaign mode and leave the multiplayer mode out from Assassin’s Creed this year. Hence, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey multiplayer is not going to happen.

Although it does not come as a surprise revelation because this was expected from the beginning. However, now the news has been confirmed that the multiplayer mode is a no-go for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Scott Phillips, the director of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey appeared in an interview recently with Game Informer. During the interview, Scott Phillips was asked certain questions about the upcoming game too.

In a customary section of the interview, Scott was faced with a rapid-fire round. During the course of questions asked in succession in this round, Phillips confirmed that multiplayer feature would not be a part of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

In addition to that, during the interview, Phillips also settled that the developers under no circumstances had any intention to bring the Battle Royale mode into Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

The trend of this much-regarded mode nowadays has brought developers and publishers to think of it as a cash-generating feature. However, do not expect this addition by Ubisoft in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Nonetheless, when Scott was asked about the Discovery Mode as in the Assassin’s Creed Origins installment the reply was rather favorable. Besides, “We’ll See” at least shows that Ubisoft is also anticipative about the idea. All in all, as we’ve been saying that multiplayer is not viable for this franchise and Ubisoft has recognized this too.

But at some point, they did consider multiplayer as part of the future of Assassin’s Creed. In the end, sticking to the verdict of no multiplayer just like Origins is an optimistic decision by the developers of the game.
