The band will hit the road across the country later this year

Courteeners have announced details of a major UK tour which will take place later this year.

The Manchester five-piece will headline shows throughout November and December, appearing at several arenas in cities such as Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Newcastle and Hull. The band are also due to play at Brixton Academy in what will be their fifth headline appearance at the venue.

Playing Reading and Leeds festival this weekend, Courteeners are also due to headline Neighbourhood Festival and Truck Festival before the end of the summer.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am on August 31 here. The band will be supported by Gerry Cinnamon and Zuzu.

Saturday 17th November Leeds First Direct Arena

Monday 19th November Nottingham Rock City

Tuesday 20th November Leicester O2 Academy

Celebrating the tenth anniversary of their debut ‘St. Jude’, a re-worked version of the album was released earlier this year.

As part of the celebrations, the band played anniversary shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Manchester Arena.

Speaking about their anniversary to NME earlier this year, frontman Liam Fray said: “We’ve not been exterminated yet, we’re still here… it just feels like we’ve almost been given a second chance by people.”
