New LG V40 renders leak out - this could be one of the largest LG phones ever

Expected to be released in the first half of October, the unannounced LG V40 is shaping up to be a really big handset. We first saw the V40 several days ago, when a few renders allowed us to notice the phone's notch and triple rear camera. Today, thanks to a new set of leaked renders, we can take another look at the upcoming smartphone.

Reportedly, the LG V40 renders seen in this article are based on factory CAD blueprints, so they should provide an accurate description of the device. According to Slashleaks and @OnLeaks, the V40 sports a 6.3-inch display - that's 0.3 inches larger than the screens of its predecessors, the LG V30 and LG V35.

Unsurprisingly, the bigger display makes the V40 larger overall. Reportedly, the phone measures 158.8 x 75.8 x 7.8 mm, so it's going to be taller and a bit wider and thicker than the V30 and V35 (both measuring 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.3 mm). If these dimensions are accurate, the V40 will be the third-largest high-end LG smartphone to date, ranked just below the 5-year-old LG G Flex (160.5 x 81.6 x 7.9 mm) and the 3-year-old LG V10 (159.6 x 79.3 x 8.6 mm).

At this moment, there are no other details on the features of the LG V40. However, we can see that the phone has a dual front-facing camera, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Most probably, the handset will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor, while RAM and storage space should be aplenty. We're expecting nothing less than Android 9 Pie to be on board at launch come October.
