IMAGINE you had $1000 sitting in an envelope on the desk, ready to buy tickets to an event.

Then imagine that $1000, now in 1000 pieces, all over the floor.

That’s what happened to a US couple after their two-year-old son put the envelope containing the cash into a shredder.

The parents were in shock after finding the cash in pieces - it had been put aside to buy tickets for a football match.

Little Leo was quite familiar with the shredder - because he often helps his mum and dad shred the junk mail.

Children. They can be a costly business.

Luckily for the family they had a saviour in the form of the US Treasury who, in an incredibly generous act, offered to reimburse the cash.
