The anime Akira, pretty mindf***. also suprised no ones mentioned the movie Pi. also The Fountain that movie is crazy.

- Funny Games was cute, but more of a "I'm going to break all the rules" type of movie rather than a psychological thriller.

- There's a good deal of movies mentioned here that I've never heard of that I'm interested in seeing now.

- Of the films I have seen, I am going to say Momento is definitely the best in this category. It's not "better" than The Matrix as a film, but it's the best in this particular category since The Matrix had a lot of other things going on as well (such as being a technically revolutionary action film). It's better than Pi, because Pi is *too* much of a mind-fuck. (If you can't figure out a movie without a timeline map, it's just too complicated). And it's also superior to Donny Darko because Momento can be watched at face value, or you can really go in-depth and think about what happened and figure it all out, which is rewarding, while Donny Darko doesn't really offer a whole lot beyond what you see on screen. It's the perfect middle-ground.

I really like the Prestige, Memento and Inception. I found Donnie Darko really hard to get, but still a great film. Now there is a movie that is unbearable, known as The Primer. Shitiest thing I've ever seen. Two other mindfucks that I heard are really good are: Mulholland Drive and Mr. Nobody

Cube (1997). If you can look past the film school dialog this one is a classic. i believe it is where SAW got its inspiration, but don't get me wrong, it is no SAW. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0123755/

I second this. It's great movie, but unfortunately like you said the dialog is not so good as well as some of the acting.
