Account security, failed login attempts and invites Hello Raccoons, we've been receiving more and more reports lately that there are failed login attempts to your user accounts on Animeworld. We believe there are people trying to gain access to your accounts through brute force attacks. Proxy and VPN IPs are used for this. VPN IPs in particular are difficult to block because many use VPNs to use the tracker anonymously and of course we don't want to block you. The security of your account is in your hands, so you should ensure the following things: Use strong passwords: - Your passwords should be at least 12 characters long and consist of a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters. - Don't use the same password for different sites - Use a password manager to store your passwords securely. This can usually also generate secure passwords. Activates two-factor authentication: With two-factor authentication, someone cannot access your account even with a username and correct password because another factor is required. You can find all information on our 2-factor page . Be careful with phishing attempts: Your email addresses are not visible to other users and it should therefore be relatively unlikely that someone will try to phish you via email. Of course, it could also happen that someone tries it via forums or something similar. However, when logging in to the tracker, you should always make sure that you are logging in to the correct page. Our domain is animeworld.cx , we currently have no active alternative domains.
