In all the years of using IA to revisit old/defunk websites, I had never actually thought of this argument for it's legitimacy: that the IA is not only an archive but that it's a n archive of versioning and really never thought to apply it to digital books. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out. It's such incredible resource and I had no idea they were digitizing books as well!
