  2. Gwyneth Paltrow may indeed suit up in Avengers 4 and wear Pepper Potts' Rescue armor. The Marvel Cinematic Universe suffered catastrophic losses when Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Half of the universe's population vanished and left only a small group of heroes to try and save the day next year. All of the original six Avengers survived and they'll be joined by Nebula, Rocket, War Machine, Ant-Man, and Captain Marvel. But, after having close to two dozen heroes trying to stop Thanos, they could need some new faces to join the fight. One of the most popular theories to surface during Avengers 4's filming was that Pepper Potts could make the leap to become a hero herself, or at the very least suit up to save Tony. After all, her fiance is stranded on Titan with Nebula, and Paltrow teased having to wear a motion capture suit for filming. Now, there may be some proof that she did so to wear an Iron Man suit again. Twitter user @SebiMarvel shared some art of the Avengers 4 Hero Vision toy line that looks to confirm Pepper will suit up. The art includes the Thor and Rocket white suit paired toy set that made its way online last week, and further teases the Captain America and Captain Marvel combo pack. However, the third pairing is of Iron Man and what looks to be a purple and white version of an Iron Man suit. This looks to be the Rescue suit that Pepper Potts has worn, with the design resembling the look of the armor in the Iron Man: Armored Adventures animated series. If this is Pepper in the suit, then it could point to a larger role than some may have expected. Although many thought Infinity War set up her going to Titan to rescue Tony, that line was misunderstood. The creation of her own toy could just be for marketing purposes, as toys are not always an accurate representation of the movie. But since Paltrow previously teased this possibility and had a role large enough to be involved in Avengers 4 reshoots, it looks more likely than not that this is Pepper in the suit and that she will suit up next year. That said, there is also a theory that this could actually be Nebula (Karen Gillan) in this suit. Both Tony and Nebula need to get off Titan, but there's no clear avenue for him to make her this suit. It could happen after the fact and give the daughter of Thanos a bit more firepower for if she ever gets to face him. Since Tony and Nebula are paired together on Titan, combining their action figures together could make sense, and the purple design could reflect Nebula's blue and purple look. Unless better images arrive that prove this to be true, it is more likely to be Pepper. So when Avengers 4 hits next year, Pepper could become Rescue and wear a suit that looks like this.
  3. New details for The Conjuring 3 reveal what could possibly be a story about a murder trial. The first two Conjuring films were based on real events from the case files of the paranormal investigators named Ed and Lorraine Warren. The couple investigated many hauntings over their years and wrote books on their findings, which have been the basis for the films in The Conjuring universe. The first movie was directed by James Wan and was about a family who moves into a farmhouse in Rhode Island, which is haunted by a witch that possesses mothers into killing their children. With the massive success of the first film, a spinoff released, titled Annabelle, which gave the demonic doll a backstory. The spinoff earned less than favorable reviews partly because of the absence of the Warrens. Then, in 2016, Wan returned to the franchise to direct The Conjuring 2, which saw Ed and Lorraine investigate the infamous Enfield poltergeist. Since then there have been two more spinoff films - including a prequel to the first Annabelle, titled Annabelle: Creation and, most recently, The Nun, which was the earliest film set in The Conjuring timeline. Now, the story seems to be shifting back to Ed and Lorraine who may end up investigating a murder trial. According to Bloody Disgusting, inside sources are claiming that Conjuring 3 will focus on a man in the middle of a murder trial who pleas that he was possessed by a demon. While the two films were based on real-life events, it is currently unknown if this third film will be pulled from the case files of the Warrens or will simply be pure fiction. Even though very little has been revealed about Conjuring 3, stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be returning to the roles of Ed and Lorraine. While Wilson and Farmiga are returning to their roles, Wan will not be taking a third swing at directing a Conjuring film. Instead, Michael Chaves will be directing The Conjuring 3. As for the other ends of The Conjuring universe, Annabelle 3 will be the next film in the series, which will also bring back Ed and Lorraine for supporting roles. Another spinoff, called The Crooked Man, based on the character from The Conjuring 2, is also still in development. Even though these story details about a murder trial haven't been confirmed, it seems like a plausible set up for the third film. After all, producer Peter Safran confirmed in 2017 that The Conjuring 3 wouldn't be another haunted house movie so that the series wouldn't become repetitive. This story could also prove to be an interesting look at Warrens' critics since not everyone believes in the supernatural, especially when it's involved in the courtroom. With the Conjuring films proving to be extremely profitable, regardless of the subject matter, more of the horror flicks will likely be rushed to cinemas for years to come even after The Conjuring 3.
  4. Every year the major Hollywood studios report a list of the most notorious pirate sites to the US Government. While the listed targets usually don't respond, there is some serious pushback recently. After CDA.pl dismissed the piracy claims against it earlier this week, RapidVideo follows suit today, stressing that it has already taken several voluntary measures, including an upload filter to prevent pirated content from being reuploaded. A few weeks ago the MPAA, together with several other trade groups, submitted its annual list of ‘notorious markets’ to the US Trade Representative (USTR). These submissions help to guide the U.S. Government’s position toward foreign countries when it comes to copyright enforcement, putting significant pressure on the mentioned sites. The MPAA’s submission included many of the usual targets including The Pirate Bay and Fmovies, but also several hosting sites or cyberlockers. The latter category is interesting. While there are unmistakenly several “rogue” hosting platforms that don’t care about copyright holders, not all fit the billing. One of the bad actors according to the Hollywood group, however, is Rapidvideo. “Rapidvideo.com is a streaming/download cyberlocker with a global Alexa ranking of 999. Rapidvideo.com had 21.66 million worldwide unique visitors in August 2018 according to SimilarWeb data,” the MPAA wrote. “The site incentivizes users to upload content with an affiliate program. The site pays from $7.50 to $60 USD per 10,000 views depending on the country in which the viewer is located,” the Hollywood group added. As is usual in these reports, there is virtually no detail about any alleged copyright-infringing activity. While we’re pretty certain that Rapidvideo stores some pirated videos, this is no different from Google Drive or Dropbox, for example. The MPAA’s report does mention that some hosting sites don’t remove infringing files, but only the reported links to these files. On top of that, many sites don’t respond well to takedown notices at all. So that must be the case with Rapidvideo then? Well, the site’s owner wholeheartedly disagrees. “We have a DMCA agent guy working with us, who also works with the MPAA and other rightsholders. He was happy with our anti-piracy methods, but the MPAA reported our site to the government nonetheless,” Rapidvideo’s Alex informs TorrentFreak. As it turns out, Rapidvideo doesn’t fit the MPAA’s description at all. The site processes takedown requests, has a designated DMCA agent, a repeat infringer policy, and it even implemented an MD5 hash filter system to ensure that flagged files are not re-uploaded. While the company is incorporated in Belize, it believes that it’s fully compliant with US, Canadian and EU law. It even complies with the proposed ‘upload filter’ the EU may implement in the near future. In recent months Rapidvideo was approached several times by a representative of an anime video distributor. Many of the recent enforcement changes were implemented as a result between the distributor and Rapidvideo’s copyright agent. This was also communicated to other rightsholders, including MPAA members, the site’s owner says. However, that didn’t prevent the listing on the MPAA’s most recent overview of rogue sites. “After the whole procedure, we learned that we would appear on the list submitted by the MPAA to the U.S. Government. This, despite that everything was correctly implemented in compliance with the regulations and rules, including the DMCA,” Alex says. Rapidvideo was told that they didn’t process all notices correctly. While the site admits that some reports were set aside, those were all inaccurate takedown notices. For example, they lacked details that are actually legal requirements. “They said that we did not correctly handle all DMCA notices, but those were not fully correct, as required by the DMCA law. Many parts were missing, such as a signature of the rightsholder representative or the names of the infringing works.” The video hosting site feels that if the copyright holders push them to comply with the law, those companies should be held to the same standards. Also, none of the rightsholders complained about the rejections directly. Rapidvideo hasn’t sent an official rebuttal to the USTR, so it could very well be listed in the official overview of Notorious Markets early next year. The video hosting site is fully confident that its policies and procedures are compliant with copyright law. They are not intimidated by the MPAA’s report, and with their upload filter, they have nothing to fear from the EU either, according to the owner. “We have everything fully ready for the EU upload filter. We are also a legal company that pays taxes and complies with all rules and regulations, so we are not afraid of any possible outcomes,” Alex concludes Source : torrentfreak.com
