You know, I honestly want to be able to say that without a doubt, the absolute best would have to be Heath Ledger….but it’s just not that easy to do. He was SO committed to that role. He made the role silly and yet terrifying at the same time. When I watched it, it was almost magical. BUT…then Joaquin Phoenix came out with his Joker. He was equally as committed to his role and what an exceptional job he did. He became like the, “Everyday Man” Joker. It was a very different character, but what a phenomenal job of portraying the character…and so believable. I would say they have to be tied!
