I myself have never used Flock or Netscape but in my personal opinion and experience I have found FireFox to be the fastest. Yes Google Chrome might be a slight bit faster but not as secure thus they would be just about tied. I have never really used Opera except for on a Playstation 3 but I think I might try it out.

on windows xp/vista... i would think chrome to be the fastest but I am using Iron: same software except you don't get spied by google :P

but it doesn't work with wine :(

I think that the fastest browser is opera.I use it as my backup browser and is extremely fast

My main browser though is firefox.It's quite as fast as Opera but also has some nice add-ons that i use and can't live without them

If Opera makes a good ad-block feature ans something like Greasemonkey i may consider moving permanently to Opera but for now Firefox FTW

firefox certainly especially tweaked a bit, the lastest update is even faster , BUT mozilla have been working on a new release a while now and i've tried their trunk build and it's got vast improvements especially to javascript, as firefox is mainly javascript based it runs quite a bit faster in tests but there is still bugs to be ironed out and lots of plugins haven't been developed yet.
