Firefox is all round fastest for the sites I use.

I prefer opera for some streaming sites, since the new plugin-container was put into FF.

Chrome even if fast still locks on some of those streaming sites and is basically a Shiny FF Lite version.

Deal with it. No clue about Safari tough.

In their raw form, Chrome is the fastest, after the first load after each reboot. But in practice, it can not keep up with Firefox. As bad as Firefox is with memory management, Chrome is much worse. The difference is Firefox is all under one process (I'm not addressing threading capabilities,) and Chrome starts a process for every tab and every extension for each tab. So let's keep it simple. If you have 5 extensions installed and 10 tabs. You will have 51 processes.

With Chrome, if I open more than 25 or 30 tabs, I get significant instability. With Firefox I always have two profiles open, each one with about 100 tabs. Each ones averages 1/3gb ram. Only slow time is the 20-30 seconds it takes to open.

Think Chrome is the best, used firefox before but decided to try out chrome and I got so happy about it that I started to use it instead of firefox :)
