In homage to Cameron Crowe's beloved semi-autobiographical film, the cast of Almost Famous will come together via podcast to celebrate its (brace yourselves) 20th anniversary. The hit movie takes place in the 1970s and is partially based on Crowe's own experience as a Rolling Stone journalist on tour with the likes of legendary rock bands such as Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd. It was originally released in 2000 and became an instant classic, garnering both a large fanbase and multiple Academy Award nominations. Luckily, for the popular flick's groupies, the fanfare isn't over quite yet.

Rolling Stone announced that the movie cast and creators would reunite for a five-part podcast series to discuss the making of the film and its cultural legacy. It will premiere on July 8th with James Andrew Miller as the host. Adored cast members such as Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand, Billy Crudup, Zooey Deschanel, Jimmy Fallon, Patrick Fugit, and Jason Lee are all slated to appear, as well as writer-director Crowe. "Jim Miller managed to summon all the spirit and emotion of Almost Famous with the original cast...He put the band back together," Crowe mused.

Additionally, Apple Podcasts released a short trailer to accompany the announcement. Although only a few minutes long, it provides some exciting glimpses into the conversations that Miller managed to facilitate with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. These installments are part of Miller's larger podcast series called "Origins," which delves into the humble beginnings and inner workings of some of pop culture's most important movies, TV shows, and music.

With a film as widely acclaimed as Almost Famous—which gave audiences some timelessly iconic scenes and characters—Miller surely has a lot of juicy, never-before-heard content to reveal. As Penny Lane would say: it's all happening.
