As important as it is to keep secrets about games until companies are ready to talk about them, those secrets can sometimes be ruined by third parties. Most recently, as seen from the massive Nvidia leak, there is new information about potential game releases, such as Gears of War 6.

Medium poster Ighor July was playing around with the cache files in Nvidia GeForce Now as they were waiting for new games to release. They figured out that through the console.log, they could fetch a list of all the games available on the GFN server, which totaled over 18,000 games. Once they put that list in the GeForce Now client application and set up a proxy server, they were able to look at the entire library and see which games and apps GeForce Now developers use.

Some of the unreleased titles that were discovered on this list include a Final Fantasy 9 Remake, Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster, and Half-Life 2 Remastered. Now, it seems that a new Gears of War 6 title is potentially in the works as well from Microsoft.

While it has been about two years since Gears 5 released, many fans weren't expecting to hear any updates from the game any time soon. When it was revealed that Gears 6 wouldn't appear at E3 2021, many were saddened by the thought it would potentially be a long time till a new title is released. This leak could indicate that a game is closer than some had thought, though.

It is important to note that this list of leaked titles could be comprised of old games, ones used for testing data, canceled games, or future installments. GeForce Now is for streaming, so there is no full guarantee that these games will come to PC or be released in the foreseeable future, if at all. However, this is a good indication that the Gears 6 game is at least being put through the development process, assuming the leak is real.

As more games are being discovered through the leak, it is fun to think of all the potential new games fans will get in the near future. Unfortunately, Microsoft hasn't made any public comment about the leak of potential games at this moment.
