Editor’s Note: A lawsuit has been filed against Activision Blizzard by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges the company has engaged in abuse, discrimination, and retaliation against its female employees. Activision Blizzard has denied the allegations. The full details of the Activision Blizzard lawsuit (content warning: rape, suicide, abuse, harassment) are being updated as new information becomes available.

Many Call of Duty: Warzone players are expressing disappointment and frustration at the game's recent "Numbers" event. The battle royale first-person shooter is constantly supported by developer Raven Software with updates and in-game events. The recently-unveiled Call of Duty: Warzone Season Five Reloaded roadmap introduced an abundance of upcoming content for the title.

As a midseason update, Call of Duty: Warzone Season Five Reloaded added new content to keep players satisfied until the game's next major update. The roadmap revealed a brand-new game mode, Clash, which pits two teams of 50 players against each other in the massive battle royale map of Verdansk. Another new game mode, Iron Trials '84, emphasizes difficulty by buffing all players with powerful new stats. Increased base health and enhanced health regeneration makes putting down foes much more difficult than usual. The roadmap also features a Judge Dredd skin for Call of Duty: Warzone, allowing players to embody the beloved post-apocalyptic  law enforcement officer. A midseason event, titled Numbers, was also teased by the roadmap.

As reported by Dexerto, many Call of Duty: Warzone players are very disappointed by the in-game Numbers event. A critical post to the Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit by user TheDudeofDudez garnered a lot of attention, though the post has since been removed. TheDudeofDudez criticized the lackluster event, which asks players to visit Mobile Broadcast stations throughout the title's map of Verdansk. These stations simply read off a series of numbers, rather than adding any sort of gameplay mechanic.

While fans are disappointed by the lack of meaningful content, small midseason events like Numbers are meant to hold Call of Duty: Warzone players over between large updates. Raven Software's battle royale shooter is set to receive a massive expansion to coincide with the November 5 release of Call of Duty: Vanguard. The World War II title's release will also trigger the release of a new Pacific map in Warzone, which is set to be the game's largest map yet. The World War II map will take players to a Pacific island complete with caves, jungles and small cities.

Players are disappointed by Call of Duty: Warzone's Numbers event due to a lack of substantial gameplay. Instead, players simply walk into a station and hit a button to hear some numbers, which is less than engaging. While the event is a quick and easy way for players to earn progression in-between larger updates, Raven Software would be wise to create more engaging events in the future.
