Ghost of Tsushima's patches, content updates, and expansive DLC drops have breathed new life into the game, particularly with the release of the Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. Likewise, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends provides players with another free venue through which to play, this time with dedicated multiplayer experiences, and has also received a new Survival map, Blood and Steel.

With the news that a live-action film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima is in the works from Sony, it is clear that the game has reached an exceptional playerbase and cinematic interest through its critical acclaim. But recently there has been another mention of acclaim that the game's developer is especially proud of.

Sucker Punch Productions has recently shared its excitement about Ghost of Tsushima making an appearance on the television game show Jeopardy. Ghost of Tsushima is referenced as a clue for a more ubiquitous question, "What is a samurai?", though it is special nonetheless that the game was mentioned and shown with a brief montage of snippets. Jeopardy's host describes Ghost of Tsushima with a light synopsis to help portray the game's context, such as the Mongol invasion on the island in 1274, which may have tipped off Jeopardy contestants who are historians or East Asian experts rather than video game enthusiasts.

Hey, we know this one!

Thank you to @Jeopardy for featuring #GhostOfTsushima as a clue on tonight's show! We'll be saying "What is a samurai?" for weeks now. pic.twitter.com/PmAz0a7Ayq

The game is mentioned on Jeopardy as a clue in the $800 category of "Some Fun & Games," meaning that it is possible that other games were possibly mentioned in the $200, $400, and $600 categories as well. Ghost of Tsushima being shown on Jeopardy is a surprise not only to the game's developer, but also to fans who would not expect Ghost of Tsushima to be referenced as a clue on the show.

Regardless, it is an achievement that many more people could associate acclaim with due to it being on such a popular television show. It is nice to see the developers so excited for this unusual exposure for their game, and it is a great way for them to continue the discourse about Ghost of Tsushima in a fun way. Ghost of Tsushima's narrative and gameplay are highly regarded among players, so it is exciting to see the game celebrated.
