If anyone needs a mood booster, they need not look further than this adorable video of Dwayne Johnson singing happy birthday to a 102-year-old grandmother. Johnson has enjoyed a productive 2021 so far. At the top of the year, he debuted his new NBC series Young Rock, which was later renewed for season 2. In the summer, he finally set sail on the Jungle Cruise alongside Emily Blunt, and after solid box office returns and positive word of mouth, a sequel is in the works at Disney. Johnson even managed to sneak in a cameo for breakout hit Free Guy.

Going forward, the future continues to be bright for The Rock. Next month, he'll star in the Netflix original Red Notice opposite Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot; the movie is being hyped as the streamer's biggest action flick yet. 2022 will bring Johnson's long-awaited DCEU debut in Black Adam, a comic book movie the actor has been trying to get made for over a decade now. Production took place earlier this year, and the film is currently scheduled for release in July.

In case it wasn't already apparent, Johnson is a busy guy. That's why it's so heartwarming to see him take the time to give a shoutout to a fan. In what is now turning into a yearly tradition, Johnson has recorded a birthday message for Marie Grover, a Philadelphia grandmother who recently turned 102. "When she turned 100, I started singing Happy Birthday to Grandma Grover. Today she’s 102 years old 🎂 🎉 and this has become one of my FAVORITE things to do," Johnson wrote in his post. "And she sang back to me!!" She certainly did, heartily belting out "A Bushel and a Peck" from Guys and Dolls. Check it out down below.

Even from faraway and over video, Johnson has built up a relationship with Grover, and it's adorable to see. It's also perhaps a testament to the actor's overall sense of kindness that he still remembers her and wishes to celebrate her birthday every year. Johnson is known for being friendly and happily engaging with fans, and this is definitely the best example of that trait.

The next place fans will be able to see Johnson isn't in a movie, but at a virtual convention. On October 16, Johnson will be one of the many DC stars participating in DC FanDome. This is the second event of its kind to take place, and it promises to feature some massive reveals from the comic book universe. Most likely, Johnson will provide some kind of first look at Black Adam, perhaps in the form of a costume reveal or trailer. Either way, his fans will not want to miss it, though if they do, he'll surely post about it on social media. As demonstrated above, his page always holds some fun surprises.
