Pokemon Fan Creates Incredible Stained-Glass Togepi for Halloween

Pokemon is one of the most popular video game franchises out there, and creative Pokemon fans have been creating tributes to their favorite Pokemon for over twenty years. One artistic fan recently decided to create a seasonal stained-glass Togepi to celebrate the approach of Halloween.

Halloween events in the Pokemon games often put Pokemon in cute little Halloween costumes, but Togepi isn't often on the official Halloween roster. This doesn't seem to have kept Reddit user kmglasscreations from using fan-made Halloween Togepi designs as inspiration for a gorgeous piece of stained-glass fanart made just in time for the holiday.

Togepi is a small round Pokemon mostly concealed within a white eggshell covered in red and blue markings. Its exposed head, arms, and feet are usually shown to be cream, but this rendition of Halloween Togepi appears to feature grey skin and an orange Jack-O-Lantern instead of an eggshell. The Jack-O-Lantern's top has been removed to allow Togepi's head to peek through, but a leering black face still stares out from Togepi's chest area, creating an atmosphere both cute and spooky.

According to kmglasscreations, this is one of their favorite creations, and fans may have an easy time understanding why. While this isn't the first time a Pokemon fan has created stained glass fan art, it may be one of the most striking examples of stained glass Pokemon art out there. The piece has some very stark color definition and sharp angles on the jagged top of the Jack-O-Lantern portion. The creator has confirmed that these seemingly sharp edges are actually rounded, at least when it comes to the glass pieces. Apparently, the sharp angles are an illusion created by cunningly shaped pieces of foil rather than something incorporated into the glass itself.

As of writing, the stained glass Halloween Togepi appears to have been about as warmly received by other Pokemon fans as the official stained-glass-themed Pokemon collectibles. One fan described the Halloween Togepi as ridiculously cute, while another simply stated that they loved it. A third fan described the project as amazing.
