Download Torrent Directly to Seedbox

Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before somewhere else, but I wasn't able to find it. I've used private trackers in the past, but strayed away as Usenet became more popular. However, with the recent crackdown on Usenet, I find myself having to resort back to Torrents.

Currently, my ISP only has limited bandwidth plans. So, what I'm asking, is it possible to download a torrent from a private tracker directly to a seedbox and then download it to my computer using an FTP connection? The private tracker I have in mind uses a passkey assigned to each account, so I'm not sure how I would be able to download a file directly to my seedbox, without first having downloaded it to my computer and then uploading it from my computer to the seedbox. I really want to stay away from this plan, though because that means I would have to download a file and then upload it from my computer, effectively using double the bandwidth from my ISP.

If I'm not being clear enough, I'm sorry. It's been a long time since I've had to use torrents. Thank you.

Hi,

I also use a seedbox and like you have ISP limited bandwidth.

So here is my setup.

I use chrome BTW as browser but works with Firefox (IE i don't know)

I have an extension in my chrome called 'Remote Torrent Adder' (Chrome link) this little extensions just let's me surf the web and right click to add torrent to seedbox.

The tool accepts Buffalo,Deluge,pyrt,rutorrent,etc....

Just fill in the info required like IP/Hostname , Port

Then enter login info or passkey and fill in the other info like directory or label (leave blank if you want the extension to ask you)

This will upload the torrent to the seedbox and download it.

Then i use FTP to download files.

Btw you say that you are forced to download the torrent to then upload it for seeding?

Why not just download the .torrent file and upload to seedbox.

I mean a torrent = 125kb so yeah.
