2014 has been incredible year for British music, and the nominations for The BRIT Awards 2015 with MasterCard will no doubt demonstrate this when they are revealed next Thursday 15th January at an exclusive TV show 'The BRITs Are Coming'.

Filmed at ITV Studios and broadcast the same evening at 10.40pm on ITV, the show will be hosted by popular broadcaster Reggie Yates and will feature exclusive live performances from some of the hottest UK music acts around - Jessie Ware, Clean Bandit, FKA Twigs, and this year's Critics' Choice winner James Bay, as well as revealing the highly anticipated shortlists. In addition to categories including British Breakthrough Act, British Single and British Group, the nation will be tuning in to find out the contenders for the BRITs' biggest award, the MasterCard British Album of the Year, where five nominees will battle it out for this sought-after accolade.

The BRITs nominations never fail to create debate and discussion, with music fans all over the country, and indeed the world, clamouring to voice their opinion on who the hottest and biggest acts in UK music are - and who they want to see pick up an award on the night. Thursday's bash will see tastemakers galore on the red carpet media run all predicting who should - and shouldn't - be shortlisted for a coveted Tracey Emin designed trophy. With new BRITs Chairman Max Lousada at the helm, this year's BRITs are shaping up to be yet another landmark year as it returns to The O2 for the fifth consecutive year.

Hugely popular YouTube stars and Radio 1 presenters Dan and Phil will be returning to create YouTube content for The BRIT Awards 2015, and the duo will be having plenty of fun and games with guests at 'The BRITs Are Coming' event. They'll also be presenting the YouTube live stream of the main show on 25th February to an international audience as well as being on the red carpet, and providing an exclusive look backstage at The O2. Last year was their first year at the BRITs and they got Kylie Minogue to reveal that she'd rather bathe in cream than lick a pigeon, so who knows what's in store this year!

With the BRIT Awards now entering its 35th year as the biggest night in the UK music calendar, the event will truly present the best of British and celebrate the outstanding success of British music globally. This is none more so demonstrated by the huge achievements of the likes of Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith who are both confirmed to perform live at the ceremony, along with Taylor Swift. Ed and Sam were among the British acts leading the charge to a record-breaking performance as the entire Top Ten albums of 2014 in the UK all came from home-grown talent ' the strongest performance by British artists since The Official Charts began. The nominations for the BRIT Awards 2015 will no doubt reflect the stellar success of British acts alongside international champions when the winners are unveiled on the night of the awards, providing yet another night of exceptional TV viewing.

More exciting news and developments will be unveiled over the next few weeks including details for BRITs Week which will see a host of one-off gigs and events taking place in the lead up to the BRIT Awards.

The BRIT Awards 2015 with MasterCard take place Wednesday 25 February at The O2 and will be exclusively broadcast on ITV.
