John Mayer 'ready to wed'

John Mayer has reportedly been talking about marriage and babies with Katy Perry.

The two music stars dated on and off for two years, but called time on their relationship last year.

However, they've been spotted out and about together recently, leading many to speculate the romance is back on. Sources say John has got his act together, and his claims that he's ready to settle down have won Katy over.

"As soon as John called Katy, she went running back to him. He swears he's a different man now and feels ready to commit. He always loved Katy, but was afraid to take the next step. Now he's even been talking marriage and children," an insider told British magazine Now.

One of the reasons for their 2014 split was said to be John's apparent infidelity.

The 37-year-old has previously dated a string of A-list ladies, including Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson, but is now apparently ready to settle down.

"He took that time to focus on himself and figure out why he can't commit. He even sought professional help," the source said.

Katy has had her fair share of high-profile relationships too, including a marriage to Russell Brand which lasted for 14 months.

Since splitting from John, the 30-year-old has been linked to DJ Diplo and rapper Riff Raff. But she's said to still be under John's spell and is ignoring friends' warnings about going back.

"Everybody told her not to take him back because she's going to get hurt again but she's not listening. He promises he's changed, but that promise will be broken," the source sighed.
