Windows XP is excellent, but comparing XP with W7 i will have to say that 7 is better, because it has more features basically.

I still use XP on my desktop, because it's very very old and unnable to run on 7. And i'm satisfied!

On my notebook, however, i use 7, but used Vista before.

The problem with Vista is its bugs, 7 is much more stable even though not perfect. On an early phase there was only few software compatible with 7, but not anymore.

Comparing Vista with 7 definitly would recommend you 7!

Hope that this helps you ;)

Really? Weird thing...

I've only managed to install W7 on my notebook as an upgrade from Vista. Already tried to do a clean install with an original DVD, but wasn't successful apparently due to driver error :S Very strange though...

i suppose you can reformat and then install w7

It didn't work for me :( I completly formated my notebook but this driver error...

Well this version was one i get via my University and supposedly no problems should occur. I tried to contact the staff but their help was awful... So i decided to do the upgrade as i have the original DVD from Toshiba to do that... But still prefer to do a custom install!
