In TRICK 'R TREAT director Michael Dougherty's upcoming film GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS, a sequel to the 2014 American GODZILLA film, the titular kaiju will once again be facing off with one of his greatest adversaries: the three-headed, dragon-like creature King Ghidorah. When Ghidorah appeared in the classic Japanese Godzilla films, it was brought to life with one performer working inside the costume and puppeteers operating its three heads. For the version of Ghidorah we'll be seeing in GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS, Dougherty has cast three motion capture performers to bring the creature to life - one performer for each of the heads.

Performing as Ghidorah's middle head is Jason Liles, who did the motion capture performance for the gorilla George in the Dwayne Johnson film RAMPAGE, which is currently in theatres.

As the left head is veteran motion capture actor and stunt coordinator Richard Dorton, whose previous work can be seen in multiple video games, including Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill: Homecoming, and God of War.

Acting as the right head is puppeteer Alex Maxson, who has credits on several Full Moon movies, including EVIL BONG sequels and the recently released PUPPET MASTER: AXIS TERMINATION.

Written by Dougherty and his KRAMPUS co-writer Zach Shields, GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS also stars Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Zhang Ziyi, Aisha Hinds, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Randy Havens, Jonathan Howard, Anthony Ramos, Bradley Whitford, and Elizabeth Ludlow.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but we do know that the film will also feature Godzilla and King Ghidorah's fellow classic monsters Rodan and Mothra.

We still have almost eleven months left to wait for GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS, which won't arrive in theatres until March 22, 2019.
