Bungie is reviving a classic Crucible map for the PvP in Destiny 2. The map will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One gamers... basically everyone still playing Destiny 2. The map will go live a lot sooner than you think for the 6-vs-6 event.

While the news was originally posted on the official Bungie Twitter account on May 18th, you'll likely expect to be able to participate in the Iron Banner 6-vs-6 map by the time you read this article.

The map will also be accompanied by all new seasonal ornaments during the Iron Banner event, which features the Bannerfall map.

The Bannerfall map features a giant tree in the center, along with a few indoor and outdoor areas to move around for sniping opportunities or to use to surprise enemies as they leap off the platforms or come from around the corner. There are a couple of courtyards in the map where you can have open engagements with other players. The outer edge of the map leads out toward a walkway with a tree overlooking a great cloudy expanse below.

Along the corridors there are a few rooms you can pass through that allow you to run-and-gun your way through the map. Sniper nests are available on elevated platforms just under the archways that lead toward the main courtyard with the tree, along with a few hiding spots along the moss-covered walls.

At first glance you might even assume that it's a map that comes right out of Halo 2given the way the architecture is designed.

The ornaments, however, are available for each class of weapon, sporting white and sage green liveries for the weapons. This applies to the rocket launchers, pistols, sub-machine guns, assault rifles, revolvers and the sniper rifles.

This comes shortly on the heels of the release of Destiny 2: Warmind, the latest story-oriented expansion for the game that moves the plot forward and adds more intrigue to the overall universe just recently launched. The story for the Destiny 2: Warmind expansion wasn't very long and could be completed within just two hours, tops. However, fans of the lore will likely want to see more content coming out for Destiny 2 and want to find out what happens next.

Before anymore story content drops, the multiplayer events will take place, including a throwback to the original Bannerfall map that was available in the original Destiny during the Iron Banner events. So, now, everyone who missed out on the event will be able to hop back into the game and play through the Crucible PvP map in 6-vs-6 matches during the Iron Banner event taking place this week in Destiny 2.

The event will be available for everyone who owns a copy of the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and those playing it through Battle.net on PC.
