The Witcher 3 Next Generation LOD Mod Introduces Better Details For Distant Buildings

A new The Witcher 3 mod introducing some welcome graphics enhancements has been released recently.

The new mod, called The Witcher 3 Next Generation Level of Detail mod, introduces high-quality meshes in place of the game’s low proxy ones, reducing pop-in and increasing detail of distant objects and buildings. This also allows custom textures to be visible from any distance. Please note that the mod is still in beta, and only works in White Orchard and Velen.

What to do before installation?

Install mod TWEAKS, or tweak following value in user.settings manually (create the line if its not already there:

How to install? Surprisingly just like any other mod. Drag the content of zipped folder to your “mods” folder in The Witcher 3 directory!

Recommended mods to go with this mod:
Any lighting mod which pushes the blue fog at least a bit further
HD Reworked Project by HalkHogan
Increased Draw Distance mod

The Witcher 3 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Game of the Year Edition also includes all of the DLC released for the game, including the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions.
