Recommended Posts

WALLABIES legend Stephen Larkham has been inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame.

The current Australian assistant coach, “Bernie” played 102 tests for the Wallabies, initially at fullback but mostly at five-eighth alongside George Gregan.

Larkham played in three World Cups, winning the title in 1999 and making the final in 2003, and also won two Super Rugby championships with the Brumbies.

A brilliant attacker with the ball in hand, he scored 25 tries for the Wallabies but his most famous moment came when he booted a 48-metre field goal in extra-time in the 1999 World Cup semi-final against South Africa.

Larkham became the 17th Australian to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
