Ariana Grande burst into tears while discussing the "life-changing" terror attack at Manchester Arena in a radio interview on Friday (17Aug18).

The No Tears Left to Cry hitmaker had just finished her concert at the venue on 22 May, 2017, when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device, killing 22 people and injuring more than 800.

The 25-year-old was on Ebro Darden's show on Beats 1 Radio on Friday when she was quizzed about her track Get Well Soon from her new album, Sweetener, which had been released that day.

Fans speculated that the song was a tribute to the Manchester victims, as it finishes with 40 seconds of silence to bring the track's running time to 5:22 - the date of the terrifying attack at the arena.

Revealing that Get Well Soon was written to "give everyone a hug", she opened up about the impact the terror attack had on her life.

"It changes your life quite a bit," Ariana explained, before beginning to cry. "You really want to be more present, and follow happy impulses, and figure it out later, you know? Just stay in the moment.

"You try not to give into fear, because obviously (that's) the whole point of being here. That was the point of finishing the tour, it was to set an example for my fans. They're fearless enough to show up to the f**king show. Are you kidding? You want to set the same example," the choked-up singer added.

"It's like people are permanently affected by this s**t and it's just like, perspective. It changes everything," Ariana said.

The Side to Side hitmaker recently revealed she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following the attack, while her mother Joan Grande said her daughter "cried endlessly and barely spoke for two days".
