  5. Hello, This topic comes with no ideas, as you know 4 days ago there were some quarrels / misunderstandings between king (andyn) and me, after these quarrels it was decided that the character was "banished" from the site, because it used money and site name in your own interests. There have also been problems with facebook, problems that I was involved in, I was accused of stealing by this man, well the word man is too much for him, but let's say. For about 5 years, I have been dealing with this project, with quarrels, with reconciliation, with good and bad, but we have managed to get to this day, a day when I really do not know what to believe, because all I think this site is a fake, but the truth does not know anyone. You've all been manipulated by this andyn, you all think there's a theft, but why do not you reopen it? Just has myxz.org domain, has the source, but does not make any profit, that's the problem, so 4 days ago he wanted to close the site, because 0 profit. I come with this question to you, what do you think, what do you want in the future? Because I personally came to this masquerade. Wanted to continue or close this site. What I can tell you is that when I decide to leave Andyn again here, the server on which the site is, as well as the climbing scriptures and what is most important, the staff will close, because this liar will it hurts everything, and we do not want to see it. You decide what you want! Thank you for your time. https://myxz.eu/forums.php?action=vi...536865#6536865

Creative director Daniel Vávra already confirmed that the patch might be released soon alongside some free DLC, and the studio has delivered. The 1.4 PC update adds new hair and beard mechanics alongside 200 major bugs fixes. In addition, players will now be able to customize their style in bathhouses and gain extra charisma with a new haircut. We’ve included the patch notes down below: Release Notes for Kingdom Come Deliverance version 1.4 New Hair and Beard mechanics. 8. "It's our largest update so far, and we're working our socks off." In the wake of its fairly sophisticated Atlas Rises update, Chris returned to No Man's Sky and found a better game that still lacked magic and mystery. The space survival sim's next venture is due at some point in "Summer 2018", is billed as its "largest update so far", is free to existing players, and is named No Man's Sky NEXT. "Coming in Summer 2018 is No Man's Sky NEXT, a free update for PS4, PC, Xbox and WeGame. It's our largest update so far, and we're working our socks off" "Really thanks to the community, each previous update for No Man's Sky has been more successful than the last," Murray tells us via email. "Atlas Rises, our most recent update, was surprisingly so. That represented a real inflection point in the legacy of No Man’s Sky. This team has never stopped running at sprint pace over the last few years, so perhaps it would have been tempting to stop after that. Surprisingly though it had the opposite effect on this team, and it emboldened us all to go further and faster." In doing so Murray describes NEXT as "an important next step" in No Man's Sky's journey—one that is "far from over"—and is confident he and his team can surprise the game's community with what lies ahead. I think the following images are new, but the colours are gorgeous even if they're not: Img Img2 Besides Steam, No Man's Sky will also feature on Tencent's WeGame (formerly the Tencent Games Platform), with China forming the game's second biggest audience. Not much to go on beyond the announcement, then, so expect more information in the coming weeks and months. And, if history has taught us anything, I wouldn't rule out an ARG between now and summertime.
  9. DICE has put out a new Battlefield 1 patch designed to fix many stability problems introduced in previous patches, and make one particular graphical feature less annoying. The update is out now for all Battlefield 1 players, clocking in at around 3.5GB. This Easter patch lessens the effect of bloom, or exposure adjustment, players get when viewing bright environments from darker, indoor areas. This most commonly happens when you spend a few seconds in a building then run outside or go towards a window. The light of the environment outside the room blinds you for a split-second before your eyes readjust. It’s something that happens in the real world, but Battlefield 1 always had a more pronounced representation. This effect has now been lessened, though DICE noted that this will have a greater effect on certain maps but not so much on others. The update is also introducing a mid-round team balancer that will kick in anytime one team has three or more players. The more team a player has spent on one team, and the higher their score with that team, the less of a chance the balancer will move them to the opposing team. When it does happen, it’ll only happen once per player. Players in a party won’t be affected, and being in squad decreases your chances of being moved. Outside of these fairly significant changes, the Easter update brings more stability improvements and bug fixes. Take a look at the full log below. Stability and match experience Improved stability on all platforms. Improved matchmaking into Battlefield 1 Apocalypse maps. Enabled a Mid-Round Team Balancer, following the below criteria There are 10 or more players in the server. There must be a mid-round change to the player count in the match. If the team sizes differ by at least 3 players, an imbalance will be indicated and after 30 seconds the teams will be rebalanced. Players will be evaluated by the amount of score they have contributed and duration of time they have been on the team – the higher in both criteria will lessen, or remove, your chances of moving. If a player is moved by the Mid-Round Team Balancer, they will not be moved a second time. Players in parties will not be moved. Players in squads are less likely to be moved. The Mid-Round Team Balancer will wait until a player has lost their life before switching teams; if a player is already in the deploy screen when the balancing occurs, they would need to deploy and lose their life before being moved. Weapons, vehicles, and gadgets Fixed an issue in Caporetto where the Heavy Bomber spawned too low on the Austrian-Hungarian side and took damage from the ground immediately upon spawning in. Fixed an issue where players occasionally detonated Tripwires when they didn’t trip on the device. Fixed an issue where the Howell Automatic Sniper had different ammo count to the Factory variant. Fixed an issue where the Dreadnought horn occasionally would not stop blaring. Maps and modes Improved visibility when looking outside while standing indoors in Amiens, Ballroom Blitz, Sinai Desert, Verdun Heights, Soissons, Lupkow Pass, Galicia, Tsaritsyn, Heligoland Bight Improved the balance of Volga River in the Red Tide Operation. Fixed an issue where players were able to reach unintended rooftops in Amiens. Fixed an issue where players would encounter invisible collision after destroying bridges on Amiens. Fixed an issue where players would encounter invisible collision when existing the fort on Monte Grappa. Fixed an issue where players would encounter invisible collision near the D capture flag in Fao Fortress. Fixed the fidelity of some trees on the River Somme map. Unlocks and player journey Corrected the rarity grade of the PTFO weapon skins to Legendary. Corrected the rarity grade of the Incarcerator weapon skin to Distinguished. Fixed an issue where the Reaper Affliction would trigger a constant grunting sound effect while the player was taking damage. UX and UI Fixed an issue where long Platoon names sometimes would run out of the Best Squad list. Fixed an issue where the Howell Automatic Rifle Grenade HE gadget was missing an icon. Fixed an issue where the Doughboy M1911 occasionally would not display in the Customize screen. Fixed an issue where the Trench Clearer skin on the M1909 would not appear in the Customize screen. Fixed the thumbnail for the Battle of Festubert skin on the Automatico M1918. Fixed an issue where players who are using VOIP were not being indicated on the End of Round screen. Fixed an issue where the map voting images for London Calling: Scourge and London Calling: Raiders did not appear. Fixed an issue where the Operation name remained on screen when entering the Best Squad screen. Fixed an issue where the player would not return to the Globe after canceling the matchmaking initiated through the “Join Any Operation” button. Fixed an issue where the capture progress indicator would display the incorrect color when planting explosives at the telegraph in Frontlines. Fixed an issue where various weapons were missing components when viewing them in the Modify screen on the front-end menus. Fixed an issue with z-fighting (two graphical objects occupying the same coordinates, making the game engine show both in a flickering way.) This appeared on the magazine of the Autoloading 8.25 Extended when viewing it in the Modify screen with the Battle of Cote 304 skin equipped. Fixed an issue where the rarity indication colors were missing for Distinguished and Legendary skins when opening the Assault Edition Class Battlepack.
  10. PUBG has a cheating problem, and no we’re not talking about the PC version this time. Looks like some PUBG Mobile players have found a way to “cheat” by using a mouse and keyboard. Thanks to the precision a mouse provides for aiming, it messing with game balance (thanks, PCgamesN). One of the ways folks are able to use keyboard and mouse with PUBG Mobile is by installing the game on a Chromebook, according to Motherboard. KBM which are bluetooth enabled can also be pared with a tablet or smartphone to be used. Another way is to run the game on PC is by using one of the available Android emulators on the market. Whether folks view this as cheating or not is a manner of perspective, but however you look at it, KBM users have an unfair advantage over others who are sticking with touchscreen controls on PUBG Mobile. PUBG Mobile was released earlier this month on Android and iOS in the US following a soft launch in Canada and an initial release in China.
  11. Months after the Witcher 3 received its Xbox One X-enhanced patch, players on PlayStation 4 are still waiting for the same update to grace their consoles. On Xbox One X, the Witcher 3 was updated with 4K support, and HDR. After a bit of teasing, the patch got a surprise release in late December. At the time, developer CD Projekt RED confirmed that a similar update is in the works for PS4 Pro, promising to share more details in due course. Fast forward to today, a little over three months after and still no date in sight. Marcin Momot, community lead at CD Projekt RED, was asked to give an update on the state of the patch a few times over the last few days. Following a period of silence, Momot returned with a statement, but it’ll sadly still leave many disappointed. “PS4 Pro HDR patch is still very much in development,” Momot told his Twitter followers. “Due to the fact that we’ve discovered some additional bugs along the way, we need more time to finish it.” “We don’t want to compromise the quality of the update, so we would like to ask you for a bit more patience,” he added. That still doesn’t leave us with a new date, or a proposed time frame for the patch’s release, but at least we know it’s not dead. In a followup tweet, the community manager confirmed that HDR support will also be made available on the base PS4, as part of the same patch. Games typically release their enhancement patches days apart on both consoles, which is what makes this delay all the more bizarre. Still, considering the Witcher 3 predates PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, and the fact that it was even going to get enhancement patches at one point, it’s good to hear that work continues.
  12. From tomorrow, people who own either a PS4 Pro or an Xbox One X will be able to play Doom in 4K. Those guts you just blasted out of a demon’s belly? You’ll be able to see them flying through the air at an even higher resolution. Bethesda say in the announcement that both versions will be running at 4K, but it isn’t clear whether this is true 4K or some checkerboarding solution. One thing’s for sure, though – it looks shiny as, well, hell in the new gameplay trailer: Presumably it’s still running at a stable frame rate as well, because it looks as smooth as demon blood spattered over a Mars outpost corridor. You can check out some 4K Doom stills on the Bethesda announcement post. The best thing about this update? The fact you can use it in conjunction with photo mode, capturing every gunshot in all its gory glory.
  13. Kingdom Come Deliverance 1.4 update was supposed to be released this week, but it seems like it will be delayed, as the team discovered a nasty combat bug. Warhorse Studios’ Daniel Vávra provided today a new update on the 1.4 update, stating that it hasn’t been released yet due to the aforementioned combat bug, which the team hasn’t been able to fix completely yet. Considering how these things usually go, Daniel Vávra can’t say when the update will be released. "Patch 1.4 news. The only reason why it wasnt released yet is, that we have found one ugly bizzarre bug in combat that we are trying to fix for few days already and its still happening sometimes. In these cases you never know how much time will it take." The development of the update itself has been completed a couple of days back, with the team focusing on testing. The full details have yet to be revealed, but we have learned earlier this month that it will include cool new stuff. Kingdom Come Deliverance is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in all regions. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.

  15. The upcoming World War Z video game can feature up 1,000 zombies chasing down players at once. World War Z began life as a novel by author Max Brooks, which told the various survivor accounts of a global zombie breakout. The book was an addictive mix of great set pieces and likeable characters, but the format made it seem like a better fit for a television series than a movie. Brad Pitt and his production company disagreed, and developed a script that essentially jettisoned the book outside of the title and a handful of other details. Production on the movie was famously messy, with Pitt reportedly clashing with director Marc Forster and the original third act – which featured an expensive battle sequence in Russia – being scrapped and reshot. Despite the production woes the film went on to become a blockbuster, and Pitt is currently developing World War Z 2 alongside director David Fincher. A World War Z video game was also announced at the of 2017 and is being developed by Saber Interactive. The game will take a leaf out of Left 4 Dead‘s notebook by being a four-player co-op shooter, and the title will draw inspiration from both the book and movie. Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch spoke with Official PlayStation Magazine (via Comic Book) about the game, and revealed that players will have to survive against overwhelming numbers: The sheer quantity of swarming enemies on the screen and the way they interact by climbing over one another to reach areas that would be safe in other games is unique to World War Z. I would say it truly defines the game. Fighting the swarms that can be either one massive enemy or 1,000 individual ones is exhilarating and addicting. While the zombie genre feels a little played out after years of overexposure by movies, TV shows, and video games, the World War Z game at least sounds like it will be an adrenaline rush where players will constantly struggle to stay alive. Players will also have to use the environment to their advantage, and just about any item can be turned into a weapon. The World War Z game is probably being developed as a way to keep the brand fresh in audience’s minds while the sequel is being developed. World War Z 2 is taking a long time to come together because Fincher has stated he’s not making the movie until he finds a script worth producing. Production on the sequel was recently pushed back again too, after Brad Pitt signed up for Quentin Tarantino’s next film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. World War Z is expected to be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2018.
  16. Blackjack pursed his lips as the ripperdoc took another swig of bourbon, watching the shakes in his hand subside. “That doesn’t exactly inspire confidence, Doc,” Blackjack quipped, laid on his back on the operating table in Doc Razor’s back-alley clinic. He hoped his voice didn’t betray the anxiety throbbing inside him like a case of infected gums. Getting his first major upgrade after the big score on his last job, reinvesting in street cred, all that was well and good, but a getting an entire limb replaced with chrome was some serious ‘borging up’. He glanced down at his left arm, the meat riddled with bullet holes, courtesy of an Arasaka squaddie’s 9 millie. “Bug it,” Blackjack thought. Time to metal up. He looked up as a robo-arm bearing a hypostim of anaesthetic hissed into his neck. His last view was of Doc Razor frowning over the surgi-suite console as multiple metal spiderlegs whirred to life. If he survived this, Blackjack thought, he’d truly be Cyberpunk… Editor’s note: Are you excited for Cyberpunk 2077, the next big RPG from the team behind The Witcher 3? We invited a Cyberpunk 2020 pen and paper RPG expert over to write us a primer on its world, explaining the factions, the tone, and everything in between. The world of Cyberpunk 2077 The world of Cyberpunk is a retrofuturist, dystopian sci-fi nightmare where mankind has blended itself so seamlessly with technology that the line between meat and machine is no longer clear. Advances in cybernetics have enabled us to incorporate powerful computer processors directly into our brains, allowing us to upgrade our bodies with everything from rejection-proof artificial organs to enhanced optical replacements and full prosthetic limb replacements. In this world of 2077, existence is broken and divided between those who have everything and those who have nothing. The United States of America is no more, balkanized and bankrupted by wars, orbital strikes, famine and rebellions. Into the vacuum of government rushed the mega-corporations, building walled enclaves of gleaming steel and concrete, guarded by elite security forces. Behind those walls live those lucky enough to work for the corporations. Outside those walls, chaos reigns. Old Cities In the old cities, the remains of local and state government struggle to hold at bay the forces of lawlessness; gangs of every stripe and flavor flourish, fighting constantly for control of territory. The Dust The heartland of America is now a dustbowl where vast, Nomad “families” travel from place to place in huge packs; RVs, campers, motorcycles, cars, vans – constantly moving, surviving any way they can. Space In space, the Orbitals, controlled by the Eurozone countries, keep their massdrivers pointed at the Earth, ready to unleash cheap destruction, pelting anyone who would challenge their economic sovereignty with rocks mined from the asteroid belt. Through all of this, small groups of intrepid individuals – Edgerunners like you – weave in and out of the shadows, making deals, pulling jobs, and staying free. Cyberpunk 2077 Factions So, who’s who in this grim vision of the future? Corporations In the late 21st century, with the governments of the world increasingly weakened by conflict and wealth disparity, corporations have stepped into the breach to provide those with education, intelligence, and the means to live a safe and protected existence. Soldiers, either employed by the corporation or rented from another, patrol the streets and buildings of the enclaves and keep its citizens safe. Surveillance is everywhere; crimes are rare and ruthlessly punished. Corporate citizens believe themselves truly free – having sacrificed all liberty for the sake of security. Nomads Across the dustbowls and empty highways of middle America roam the vast Nomad packs. Families, clusters of different families, sometimes entire towns, left to dry up by climate change, corporate greed and neglect, have taken to roaming the country, looking for new places to call home. Most Nomad families maintain strict moral codes and obey the old laws of the land, though of course there are always some dark, twisted exceptions. Members of a Nomad pack can always call on family to defend them, though – loyalty within the Family is fierce and unquestioning. It is the only way they have survived. Gangs Like the rats with whom they share the dark parts of the cities, gangs are everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Traditional gangs who trade in drugs and guns are still common, but in this age of cheap, readily available cybernetic enhancements, a new and fearsome group – Boostergangs – have established a heavy presence in the disputed streets of the cities. Boosters are addicted to cybernetic enhancements, and exist only to find the next chrome upgrade – by whatever means necessary. Cops Despite the fall of the federal government, some towns and cities still maintain a semblance of municipal integrity, and the concept of Law and Order is not forgotten, even amongst the chaos of 2077. The fight to take the streets back, block by block, from gangs, goes on every day, and takes a heavy toll on those who live and breathe to fight on behalf of justice for those too poor to live in enclaves and too weak to Run the Edge. Edgerunners Street Samurai. Soldiers of fortune. Mercenaries. Lone wolves. Whatever you want to call them, the Edgerunner exist in the margins. They take the jobs too risky for anyone else. They act as shadow agents for those who would not risk open war. They live for the money, owe nobody their loyalty, and live and die by their wits and skills. That’s you. Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunner roles and classes Nothing’s easy when you’re living on the Edge, but fortunately there’s a lot of room for different folks out here; lots of different skillsets make for a variety of ‘runners’. Solos Solos live behind the trigger of a rifle. Maybe you spent time as a merc overseas fighting in the jungles for Big Pharma, or walked a perimeter on a corporate enclave constantly beset by boostergangs. Maybe you just picked up a rifle one day and decided you weren’t going to take anyone’s shit anymore. Either way, you’re the one they call when the shit really goes down. You’ve got an extra edge in combat, because you’ve survived this long. You know how to handle a rifle, a pistol, a SAW, a grenade launcher, a 50mm chain gun, and you can probably work out how to set off that tac-nuke if you have to. Just make sure you’ve got some stimpaks handy, or better yet, a Trauma Team card. Techies You’re the one who fixes stuff when it breaks. Or breaks into stuff that’s locked. Or locks stuff that needs to be guarded. Whatever the case, if it’s got an electronic circuit, requires tools or is just plan complicated, you’re the one for the job. You might specialize in weapons, cybertech, or electronic security, but you can build, dismantle, fix and sabotage basically anything made by anyone. Your cousin, the MedTechie, can do everything you can, but just with a human body. Pfft. Human bodies. Fixers You know A Guy. Seriously. You probably know a lot of them. If it’s on the street, underground or anywhere it shouldn’t be, you can get your hands on it. Blackmail info on a local union head? No problem. Specs on the gang leader’s hideout? Give me a real challenge. A crate of top-of-the-line Arasaka M-66 automatic rifles in .223 caseless? Already got ‘em. Cops You. Are. The. Law. And what The Law says, goes. Maybe you’re a stiff-necked, by-the-book desk lieutenant. Maybe you’re a hardened, street-smart sergeant who knows when to look the other way for the greater good. Either way, you wear the uniform, and carry the boomstick, and those gangers better run when they see you coming. Maybe you get real lucky and catch a promotion to the PsychoSquad – the ones they call when a boosterganger installs one too many implants and goes on a cyberpsychosis rampage. Those are fun. Medias In the Information Age, those who report the story control the story, and you’re determined to be the first on the scene to do so. You’ve got a satellite uplink clipped to your belt, wired into the camera in your head – no need for any clunky equipment or tech team. Maybe you’re a hungry stringer making ends meet by selling your stories each night, determined to keep the truth sacred. Or maybe you’re a veteran field eye for Network 54, selling the truth as the corps see it to the deluded masses. Whatever the case, you’re the eyes and ears of the world out there on the Street. Rockers In these troubled times, you bet your ass that people are looking for someone to believe in, someone whose message of hope and rebellion against the faceless, greedy Corps gives people a reason to go on struggling every day. You’re a warrior-poet, ready to put your life on the line to get the message out there, to keep the music alive, to make sure that people know that there are things worth fighting for. Corps Your suit is worth more than most peoples’ homes. You drive next year’s model before it hits the lots. Your implants are tasteful and discreet, and your plastic surgeon is the best that money can buy. But you’re always looking for that leg up, that advantage in the next deal, and you’re not shy about getting your hands dirty or hiring some outside muscle on the sly. Netrunners The tech you’ve got in your head is beyond anything that most people can even fathom. Forget knowing programming languages, you’ve been breathing them all since you were five years old. With your neural connection and your cybermodem, you directly interface with the Net; real-time computer users might as well be frozen in place, you’re into the data fortress and back out again before they can even blink, and you left behind a crypto-bomb just to let them know they’ve been had. If it’s on a computer, you can get it, and nobody can stop you. Running the edge is dangerous. Most who do don’t live to see 30. You learn not to make friends, because you’ll probably be pulling their bodies out of a smoking wreck. You stay frosty, stay hard. Above all, you stay free.
  17. [Update] CD Projekt Red community lead Marcin Momot has confirmed that the Xbox One patch adds HDR support on the Xbox One S alongside other visual bug fixes. [Original story] CD Projekt Red has released a mystery Witcher 3 Xbox One patch which reportedly has added HDR support for Microsoft’s Xbox One S console. Various Xbox players have reported on having received on new update for the game on both Xbox One and Xbox One X, but the exact contents are unknown as official patch notes haven’t been released. The update clocks in at roughly 400mb and according to some posts on the Witcher Reddit, it adds HDR support for the Xbox One S. We haven’t tested this out for ourselves so take this information above with a grain of salt. If you run the game on a Xbox One S with a HDR compatible display, we suggest you check whether the game runs in HDR following this update. Xbox One S HDR support was already slated for a release in January of this year following the release of the Xbox One X update. “We’re working on adding HDR support for Xbox One S, and expect to have this feature ready in January,” CDPR told Polygon back in December of last year. Interestingly, the PS4 HDR patch for the game is taking additional time to release due to newly found bugs, as Tweeted by CD Projekt Red’s community lead yesterday. We have contacted CD Projekt Red about this mystery update, and will update this post in case we learn more.
  18. Valve was one of the first to run a centralized game distribution + multiplayer service, through Steam, and its in-house alternative to the Punkbuster anti-cheating software, in the form of VAC (Valve Anti-Cheating). Over the years, VAC has evolved to leverage newer technologies. Its latest avatar is VACnet, an AI deep-learning system built up of over 1,700 CPUs, to more intelligently sniff out cheaters. VACnet leverages CS:GO's player-operated replay system. It studies replays of players who have been reported for cheating, and studies their replays for patterns of cheating, such as wallhacks, aimbots, and more. What makes this different from previous approaches to the problem is that the AI evaluates the behavior of the gamer through their inputs in a way only a human could, before this. It also makes up its own criteria for spotting cheaters, as it learns more about cheating, so creative and new cheaters are quicker to spot. The decision to suspend or ban players ultimate falls in the hands of humans. VACnet sniffs out the most probable cheaters, and reports its findings to human moderators that determine guilt, and hand out suspensions or bans. VACnet has the potential to increase "convictions" of cheaters by close to four fold.
  19. The second DLC pack for Call of Duty: WW2, The War Machine, has been detailed. Call of Duty: WW2’s second DLC pack will release on April 10 first for PlayStation 4, and features four new maps, and a new War Mode mission with aerial dogfighting. The pack also includes the next chapter of Nazi Zombies, The Shadowed Throne. Players will fight in the iconic battle at Dunkirk, travel to a secret German V-2 rocket facility, and head into Egypt. A new War Mode mission, Operation Husky, was co-developed with Raven Software and is where aerial dogfighting will come into play. Information on the new maps, war mode, and the next Nazi Zombies chapter can be found below courtesy of Activision. Egypt: Head to the battlefields of Northern Africa and the Egyptian pyramids where players will fight in and around the ancient ruins at Giza. The map features an interior temple in the center rife for Domination matches with more open exterior lanes to either side. Dunkirk: This map features a large, open and dangerous beach area flanked by tight interiors through the buildings lining the beach-front. Sniping can be effective here, though aggressive running and gunning can also pay off. V2: A rocket development and test site located in rural Germany. V2 is a tight, ultra-fast paced map with a launch tower siting at the map center. Short-to mid-range engagements are dominant here, with fast and furious gameplay throughout. Operation Husky: Operation Husky, whose namesake referred to the Allied invasion of Sicily, is centered on an Allied action to retrieve intelligence on the locations of sensitive German targets in the ports of Palermo and Naples. In this new War Mode offering, players will gather intel, transmit it to HQ, and then take to the skies to clear the area of enemy fighter planes in order to make way for Allied bombers. The Shadowed Throne: The next chapter in the Nazi Zombies experience takes players into the heart of Nazi Germany. Here, they will confront “a desperate and evil regime. Berlin is burning, and Doktor Straub’s monstrous army is hellbent on purging his city of the Allied invaders. Call of Duty: WW2 – The War Machine will be available on PC and Xbox One when the PS4 30-day exclusivity period ends.
  20. Following its announced partnership with Nvidia back in December, Nintendo has released its first title for the Nvidia Shield. Mario's masterful Wii adventure Super Mario Galaxy has now launched for the set-top console--but like all of Nintendo's other planned games for the Shield, it's only available in China. The Chinese Nvidia Shield website (via ResetEra member Jonneh) shared a bit more information about the title. One of the biggest questions surrounding this port was how the game's controls would translate to the Shield's controller, since many of Mario's most crucial actions in the game--such as performing a spin attack and activating star launchers--were handled by shaking the Wii Remote. Running the Nvidia website through Google Translate reveals that spinning in the Shield version of Super Mario Galaxy is performed by pressing the X button. Judging from the game's trailer (via YouTube channel Chinese Nintendo), maneuvering the star cursor now appears to be handled using one of the controller's analog sticks. Nintendo announced it was partnering with Nvidia to bring select Wii and GameCube titles to the Shield in China last year. In addition to Super Mario Galaxy, other planned games for the set-top console include The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and the Wii reboot of Punch-Out. Nvidia has said the games are playable in HD; both Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros. Wii at least are confirmed to run at 1080p. If you happen to live in China, the Nvidia Shield runs for RMB 1499 ($227), while Wii games on the system cost RMB 68 ($10). However, this partnership will likely remain exclusive to China permanently, so don't expect to see Nintendo's titles appear on the Shield in other regions any time soon.
  21. I don't usually write on freebies, but I just had to cover this one, since The Darkness II is one of those hidden gems that I think everyone should get to experience at least once (preferably more). Humble Bundle has been having a free game party of sorts in the last few months, offering games in all directions, and some of those have been actual pearls. The Darkness II is one such, for players who want a story-driven experience. You don't just have to take my word for it - the game currently stands with a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. But yes, do take my word for it - this is a shooter (and more than that) with heart, and a story filled with heart-wrenching moments and interesting psychological outmaneuvers. Oh the asylum... If only we ever got the planned sequel...
  22. We’re hours away from the launch of Far Cry 5, and there’s plenty of time to check out the reviews. Far Cry 5 takes the series to America for the first time. The fictional Hope County in Montana is ruled by a religious cult called the Project at Eden’s Gate. The cult is ruled by Jacob and his siblings, all lunatics in their own right. For the first time, the entire game is playable in co-op after the opening mission. Only the host gets to keep story progress, though. Outside of the big single-player campaign, Far Cry 5 also brings back the map editor. It’s been greatly expanded with assets from other Ubisoft games and is now referred to as Far Cry Arcade. Far Cry 5 does not have loot boxes, but it does have a virtual currency you can spend on cosmetic items, and XP boosts. Here are the reviews we’ve spotted so far. As ever, scores are out of ten except where otherwise noted. The VG247 review – The best the series has been since 2012 Eurogamer – No score The Guardian – 3/5 USgamer – 4.5/5 Destructoid – 7.5 GamesBeat – 85/100 GamesRadar+ – 4/5 Game Informer – 7.5 GameSpot – 9 Metro – 8 IGN – 8.9 Press Start – 9 Worth Playing – 8.5 Wccftech – 9.1 CGMagazine – 9 We Got This Covered – 4.5/5 Windows Central – 5/5 COGconnected – 90/100 Hobby Consolas [Spanish] – 93/100 VGN [Italian]- 9.2 Far Cry 5 is out March 27 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
  23. With the recent unveiling and launch of the first PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds weapon skins, the developer thought it’d be a good idea to give one away for free. Earlier this morning, PUBG’s weapon skins patch went live. The update introduced the weapon skin system, complete with a new dedicated menu to manage all of them. These skins are found in two crates (Triumph, and Raider), both of which were added alongside the patch. To celebrate the launch, and as a token of gratitude for all of players’ support during the game’s first year, PUBG Corp. is offering all players a free SCAR-L skin. This first anniversary, Year One skin can be yours if you log in from now until May 1. Much like the winner, winner chicken dinner t-shirt PUBG gave away at the end of Early Access, this skin can’t be sold, traded, or deleted. The skin looks pretty good, and features the signature ‘winner winner chicken dinner’ victory phrase on the stock. Here’s a 360° look at it. PUB Corp. said yesterday that it’s considering implementing a form of region locking that would only allow players to connect to their closest servers, but not prevent cross-region parties.
  24. Xbox One X fans had been waiting for Resident Evil VII Biohazard to be patched, particularly since the official Microsoft website had listed it as ‘Coming Soon’ in December. At long last, CAPCOM has pushed the update and shared a comparison trailer to demonstrate the much higher definition the game enjoys when played on Xbox One X over Xbox One S. The publisher didn’t provide detailed technical specifications and the listing lacks the 4K resolution tick, so it’s fair to assume Resident Evil VII Biohazard doesn’t run at native 4K on the console. The game is also discounted on Microsoft Store as part of the latest round of deals. The Standard edition is now available for $24.89 or $22.49 for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, while the Gold Edition (which includes the DLCs) is priced at $34.99 or $29.99 for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Said discounts will last for the next two weeks. "Regardless, this is a tremendous game and a real return to form for a series that was once lauded for its brilliance but more recently has been mocked for its poor form. Gone are the hammy comments, though there are a few, and back are the puzzles. There are reasons to play the story multiple times, too, thanks to certain moments that change the shape of the story, and you can absolutely speedrun the game, just like the old days. But it’s the house and the Baker family that make Resident Evil 7 so brilliant. It’s been years since we felt terrified of a game, at points unable to continue without a break, and despite it feeling slightly too long, that’s something well worth celebrating. Resident Evil 7 is back, it’s brilliant, and it’s scary. Who’d have thought we’d be saying that a few years ago? Where it goes next is anyone’s business, but Capcom finally seem to be back on track, and we couldn’t be happier."
  25. The PC version of Far Cry 5 arrives tomorrow along with the console version – here’s all you need to know about PC specs. Far Cry 5 developer Ubisoft is promising proper PC support come launch. The PC port will bring often-requested features that aren’t always found in Ubisoft games like the option to lock the frame-rate, set a desired FOV, and enhance the image with resolution scaling. Far Cry 5 on PC will also support a wide range of aspect rations, but Ubisoft is also including a benchmark feature, and, as seen in many modern games, a video memory usage meter. We have four sets of PC requirements for the different resolutions and graphics presets. Starting from 720p on low, all the way up to 4K 60fps on high/ultra. See all of them below: Minimum configuration OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only) CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz or equivalent GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 or AMD R9 270 (2GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) RAM: 8GB Resolution: 720p Video preset: Low Recommended configuration (1080p, 60fps) OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only) CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz or equivalent GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD R9 290X (4GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) RAM: 8GB Resolution: 1080p Video preset: High 4K 30fps configuration OS: Windows 10 (64-bit version only) CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X @ 3.6 GHz or equivalent GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX Vega 56 (8GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) RAM: 16GB Resolution: 2160p Video preset: High 4K 60fps configuration OS: Windows 10 (64-bit version only) CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4 GHz or equivalent GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI or AMD RX Vega 56 CFX (8GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) RAM: 16GB Resolution: 2160p Video pPreset: High/Ultra Far Cry 5 is out March 27 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
