  1. It will be already on April 9, 2019 that Hearthstone will receive its first expansion of the year, "Rise of Shadows". This release symbolizes the beginning of a new year of Hearthstone, the year of the dragon, the largest card rotation of the main format of the game's history and brings with it 135 new cards, new mechanics, the return of old and much more! Similar to what happened with the last expansion "Rastakhan's Rumble", this add-on will add 135 new cards to the game being the eleventh expansion of Hearthstone. With this release, there will be the largest card rotation of the main format of the game, where 3 expansions go from the standard format, "Journey to Un'Goro", "Knights of the Frozen Throne" and "Kobolds and Catacombs". The standard format includes the expansions of the current year and the previous year. Letters that were launched in 2016, ran in April 2017, and this year the 2017 cards follow the same principle. What comes out of this is an unbalanced Wild format, players being forced to pay more for cards that fit the new goal, or returning to the usual Zoo and Face Hunter decklists flooding the field. They turn out to be also competitive decks, but that, after a while, they begin to be boring to play. Anyway, for those who want to keep the game exclusively free-to-play, there is always the possibility that, over the 4 months between expansions, it will be a daily savings that will make it possible to acquire 60 to 70 packs of the new expansion.

  8. My typical morning routine involves opening a handful of programs—Slack, Steam, my web browser, Discord, Spotify, etc. While I keep my most-used apps pinned to my Windows taskbar, I still have a few apps I’ll open from my Start menu (to help reduce clutter). The problem? When you click on an app in Windows’ Start menu, the app launches and the Start menu goes away. That’s perfect when you’re only opening a single app, but if you have a bunch of apps you want to open at the same time, you’re going to have to click to open the Start menu, click on the app, click to open the Start menu, click on the second app, etc. I realize this is a bit hashtag-first-world-problems, as the Twitter kids say, but why deal with the hassle? Instead, if you want to open multiple programs from your Start menu (without it closing each time you do so), there’s a little trick you can use. And it’s absurdly easy. With the Start menu open, hold down your keyboard’s Start menu button before clicking on an app. When you do that, the Start menu will stay open, and everything you click on will load in the background. I wouldn’t recommend doing this to launch a full-screen game, as that’s going to mess everything up, but it’s a great little technique to help you launch a bunch of apps rapid-fire.
  9. Devices, retail and services are the three financial pillars for the company, of which the company is yet to explore the last one After establishing its domination in the Indian smartphone market within five years of its entry, Chinese phone maker Xiaomi now aims to monetise internet services in India to compete with the likes of Netflix, Amazon, Google Pay, and Spotify. Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain said that the Chinese technology company wants to earn revenue from streaming of movies and music, digital payments and wallets, and is willing to invest close to Rs 3,500 crore on it, The Economic Times reported. The company wants to promote its streaming platforms, Mi Video and Mi Music. Similar to AirDrop, its transfer tool Mi Drop is already gaining popularity with over 100 million downloads. The company recently launched Mi Pay, a United Payments Interface (UPI)-based payment application.

  11. The F1 Games by Codemasters are one of the more dependable annualised releases you’ll find. Last year the game got a mention in the best Sports & Racing Games of 2019, me having played but not having reviewed it. 2017 saw me giving it high praise, giving it a more than solid 8.5/10. For the past three years, the F1 games have released towards the ends of August. F1 2019 comes two months earlier than expected and will hit the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 28th of June. For the first time in the series’ history, Codemasters are working directly with F1 on a car designed to the sports regulations which will be available to use in multiplayer. However, the fact that it’s a unique car to the game isn’t too special until you get to the fact that there will be a wide range of liveries to allow for extensive personalisation.
  12. Is Borderlands 3 confirmed? Finally Borderlands 3 has officially been revealed at Gearbox’s conference at PAX East 2019, indicating the return of Gearbox’s much-loved open-world FPS with a one-billion gun arsenal. During the reveal stream we saw magic tricks, a new card game, and, most importantly, Borderlands 3. We loved the shoot-and-loot systems of Borderlands 2, as well as its striking art direction and more than 17 million guns. The series took a slight sideways step with Borderlands The Pre-Sequel! in 2014, but we are curious to see how a true third instalment will take shape. Borderlands 3 has just been announced, and it’s been an open secret that has existed in some form for a while. This comes from Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford himself, in fact. At a panel at PAX East 2016 he revealed: “It’s no secret, obviously there’s going to be another Borderlands.” So, it’s great to see the official reveal for Borderlands 3 with gameplay, characters, and multiple worlds shown off. Below you will find everything we know about Borderlands 3. BORDERLANDS 3 RELEASE DATE When is Borderlands 3 out? There’s a fan theory that suggests an October 1, 2019 Borderlands 3 release date, based on some some sneaky clues in the developer trailer. However, this is not official – Pitchford states that we will have to wait until April 3 for proper confirmation.
  13. Xiaomi’s MIUI may not offer the most appealing user experience for users outside of China but the company is slowly optimizing it. After MIUI 10, which was aimed at optimizing full-screen usage and improving the camera performance, Xiaomi is working on MIUI 11 for a more uniformly applied design language, new icons styles and shapes, better battery management, a native app drawer and much more. MIUI’s Product Director Liu Ming and Design Direct Ge Rui held an AMA session about MIUI 11 on Weibo on Wednesday, March 27, answering crucial questions about the upcoming update. We jotted down the possible features that we can expect to see with the update. Refreshed icons and smoother animations – Firstly, Xiaomi is now looking to upgrade the system and app icons which have only been tweaked slightly but not changed since MIUI 6. This could change with MIUI 11 and the new interface might also offer users the ability to change icon shapes to suit their needs. With MIUI 11, the icons are expected to get flatter and more minimal compared to their current version. Additionally, Xiaomi is working towards achieving system-wide consistency of the visual elements and smoother animations. Monochrome ultra power saving mode – Another great feature that will be added to MIUI 11 is the ultra power saving mode. With this mode, all apps and features except texts and calls will be turned off and the color of the screen will be turned into black and white in order to conserve battery. Users will also have the ability to selectively allow apps in the ultra power saving mode. Status bar optimizations – MIUI 11 will bring improvement in terms of how MIUI manages icons in the status bar, especially on smartphones with notches. The icons will be well-spaced and optimized so that all crucial icons such as headphones, mute, battery and signal strength indicators can be accommodated on a single side of the status bar. Further, the clock might be shifted to right too i.e. in line with other Android devices. Lastly, Xiaomi might also add an option to darken the status bar to hide the notch. Automatic screenshot management – The updated version of MIUI will support automatic deletion of screenshots after they are shared. Users might also get new options to edit screenshots. At the same time, MIUI 11 might also bring an improved way of interacting with notifications as well as the ability to club notifications from the same app in the form of cards. Moreover, users will also be able to manage persistent notifications and we expect a snooze function similar to stock Android. System-wide dark theme – Xiaomi also seems to be in favor of a system-wide dark theme on MIUI 11 and while the feature is already being pushed to MIUI 10 beta on Mi 8 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, MIUI 11 could extend support for the browser and third-party apps. A native system-wide dark theme can also be seen on Android Q but Xiaomi users will have the privilege of using the feature even on MIUI 11 based on Android 9 Pie.
  14. Twitter is imperfect in a lot of ways and CEO Jack Dorsey accepts the platform’s and his own inadequacies. The executive has been making several promises to fix many feature broken features on Twitter – other than the lack of an edit button. For starters, Twitter is fixing the Night Mode which has always felt weird because of its dark blue shade. Starting today, Twitter is rolling out a truer night mode called “Lights out” for iOS users. Since a lot of people love the dark blue color, Twitter is not doing away with it but actually adding a Lights out feature as part of the existing night mode. On iOS, the feature can be switched on by opening the side drawer and hitting the lightbulb icon at the bottom. Meanwhile, those using tweeting on their Android smartphones or via the web will still have to be satisfied with the dark blue color. True black night mode coming to Twitter for Android soon Even though the color on the Android app seems to have gotten darker over the last year, it is not quite there yet. Twitter has told Engadget that the night mode will be coming to the Twitter app on Android as well as to the web version “soon“. There is, however, no clarity as to when the feature will exactly be available.
  15. Popular game studio, Bethesda, announced its new Elder Scrolls title for iOS and Android last year at E3 and also demoed the game at Apple’s 2018 iPhone event. After some delays, the game is now available as an early access program. Originally, The Elder Scrolls: Blades was scheduled to launch last fall. After some setbacks, Bethesda announced the news yesterday about the game arriving as a limited early access program on Twitter. Like the other titles in the series, The Elder Scrolls: Blades is a first-person dungeon crawler RPG. The game has shown up on the App Store and Google’s Play Store, but you’ll need to wait for an invite to play after signing up for the early access program here. However, we’ve heard of at least one user who previously had a Bethesda account and has been able to play the game without waiting for an invite. If you pre-ordered the game and you already have Bethesda credentials, it may be worth giving it a shot.
  16. Here's how it looks on Android: WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world right now, but it still lacks some useful features that are present on competing apps like Telegram - one of them being Dark Mode. WhatsApp is working on Dark Mode since last September. We even got a glimpse of what the Dark Mode would look like on WhatsApp for iOS. And now, we are happy to report that the company has started testing this much-requested feature on its Android app as well. WhatsApp has begun testing Dark Mode on its beta app for Android bearing version 2.19.82. However, as this feature is still under development, it's not yet available for everyone. But thanks to the screenshots posted by WABetaInfo, we get to see how the Android app would look like with Dark Mode turned on. Unfortunately, we don't get to see what the chat screens will look like, and the reason for that is WhatsApp has only implemented Dark Mode in the Settings page so far. We hope WhatsApp will have implemented Dark Mode across the entire Android app by the time it's released. Furthermore, the Dark Mode for Android app is also a bit different than its iOS counterpart which is pitch black making it OLED friendly. Android, on the other hand, gets a dark grey color which could make it less useful on smartphones with OLED panels.
  17. Exciting news for PlayStation 4 and Xbox players. Anyone who pre-ordered their copy of Mortal Kombat 11 (MK11) on PlayStation 4 or Xbox can start playing their game next week. For some reason, Nintendo Switch and PC users will not be able to join the beta. Don't worry, we're just as upset about this as you are. Beta times were released to the public by a Tweet from the official Mortal Kombat 11 Twitter. Here's all the information on when beta times will start depending on the region you reside in! Region Start Time End Time United Kingdom March 27 15:00 GMT April 1 07:59 GMT Asia and Oceania March 28 02:00 AEDT April 1 17:59 AEDT Europe and Middle East March 27 16:00 CET April 1 08:59 CET The Americas March 27 08:00 PST April 1 23:59 PST
