ncore News Deletion of SD content Dear Users! It is 2023, our daily lives are determined by ever-faster and more advanced technologies, the continuous development of televisions and smartphones has now completely changed our media consumption habits. The ever-increasing screens and the powerful processors and imaging functions of mobile phones allow us to enjoy a wide variety of content anywhere and anytime. The spread of high-bandwidth Internet access will further boost the popularity of high-definition video and streaming services. In this dynamically developing environment, the Standard Definition (SD) category is less and less able to satisfy our expectations. The lower resolution and lower image quality are considered more outdated every day compared to new technologies. Many of us are now used to Full HD and even Ultra HD (4K) content. In the past few weeks, we have tested some planned innovations related to the above on a small group of users, and we are happy to report that we did not encounter any serious complaints, almost everyone was happy that they could enjoy their downloaded series in better quality than expected. In light of all this, the Staff considers it reasonable and necessary to phase out the SD category from nCore. The change will not affect the use of the site, it only means that the films and series will be available to you in better quality. Pursuant to the above, the following rules will come into effect on the site from October 1 : • SD content cannot be uploaded to the Movie, Series, and XXX categories if HD quality content is already available from the given material. • SD content currently available on the site will remain available. • The current season of currently running series can still be uploaded in SD quality, however, after the end of the season, only HD uploads are allowed. With the modifications, our aim is to simplify and optimize nCore's content offering, as well as to increase the commitment to quality. Over 1600 New members have joined and we welcome all of you and more. 2400 torrents have been added. We have crossed over 14000 active peers! Wanted to make sure we talked about seedtime, ratio and Hit and Runs. For any torrent you download you need to seed for 48 hours regardless of any ratio on the torrent itself you just need to keep a global ratio of more then 0.4 which every will have as the site is in global Freeleech. If you get a prewarning just re-add the torrent to your client to continue seeding. Any seedtime past 48 hours gives bonus points which can be used to by more upload. Thanks to everyone uploading so far and everyone that plans to upload going forward. We have made the choice to be exclusively for Encodes as our names says there a few torrents that were uploaded before we added this into our rules and have left them on the site in the "other" category these will stay but no new web-dl, remux or disks are allowed. Anthelion : News Class Requirement Changes Antlers, Our user class rank requirements have been amended to better reflect a positive economy for the community, and will now require a minimum account age to be eligible to purchase the next rank, along with some other changes. Antlers, It has been a wild and crazy past few weeks for all of us, and we would for sure like to thank all of our new members for all of their hard work and efforts in uploading or seeding new and existing content. The site has nearly doubled in some capacities! With this came several changes that were both good and bad. We did break the site a few times due to increased traffic, but we believe most of that has been resolved. There are still a few bugs we are working out, but we will get there. What I would like to take a minute to discuss however, are the current class ranks, how they are attained, and what they offer. We have had to make a few changes to the ranking system in order to maintain a fair economy. We were never, and are not trying to compete with PTP, however when valuable feedback is given, were going to listen to it. But due to the way our ranking system was structured, we realized it was in theory possible for a user to blow through some of our class ranks much faster than they were designed to be gained at. For this reason, we have put some age restrictions into some of the upper classes. Starting now, in order to purchase your next class rank from the store, a minimum account age must be met in addition to the other requirements of the class. Another benefit of this is to prevent a single user from taking as many adoptions as possible to grind the ranks out, leaving none/minimal for other users. Sadly this has caused us to need to demote a few accounts. Any account that has an account age < 1 month has been demoted back to Fanatic. However, the account age requirement for Fanatic has been increased to 3mo. So if you have not yet reached Fanatic, you will now need to wait out the clock. This change will affect all users regardless of their join date, the account age requirement is enabled globally. All of the rank changes can be seen here. And just as a quick note, out of the several thousand new users we have, the amount of users that were demoted by system was minimal. So this is a minimal change from the wide perspective.
