NorBits : News Change Password!!! We constantly experience that users lose their accounts because login info goes astray and is tested here at Norbits. Users have their e-mail changed and lose access to their accounts. This happens weekly. We therefore encourage ALL users to change their password on NorBits and make sure that you do not use the same password on NorBits as on other trackers. Remember to use a difficult password. Due to recent events (see previous news), we have implemented 2 important security changes on the site: (1) Mandatory password change for users whose password does not meet the criteria shown in the link . (2) Mandatory e-mail address exchange for those whose e-mail address is not registered with one of the service providers shown in the link . This also affects future accounts, so from now on you can only register on the site with the mentioned addresses / request an exchange of e-mails. ----------------------------- Problems that arise: (1) You do not know the password because the browser has memorized it. Solution: check the password in the browser. In the case of Chrome / Brave: Settings / Autofill and passwords / Password manager (by definition, the Hungarian translation, look for a similar option for the other browsers as well), or, if your email address is current, request a new password here, the generated password meets the expectations . (2) Freemail, Citromail, Vipmail, etc. Your e-mail address is with a defunct service provider and you cannot confirm the new one. Solution: in the case of discontinued service providers, the confirmation will go to your new e-mail address, even to the spam folder! (3) Your e-mail address is with a service provider supported by the site, but you can no longer access it to confirm the exchange. Solution: click here. (4)The page does not save the changes. Solution: there can be several reasons, e.g. the e-mail / password does not meet the above criteria, or if your profile is set to ask for a password when saving. If the password request is set to "yes", you must enter your old password twice, first above the new password and then at the current option.
