I solved it by cutting the carpet only once, but it involves cutting in different directions (one broken line) 🙂

@HOCD1A035 Yes I did. I solved it by finding the Greatest Common Factor of 4 on the horizontal and 3 on the vertical, then I divided the square carpet into a 3 x 4 grid and cut it like this. I would've answered earlier but I ran out of posts for the day. 😂

@MasterCrane No it is not the right answer, you  have made more than 2 cuts You can only make 2 cuts such that if the scissors went out of the carpet it is counted as One cut. Hope you try more 😁

@MasterCrane If in the solution given by you if you are cutting only diagonally and then rearranging then it is correct. like this as shown 😁

@HOCD1A035 Wait, that's exactly what I did. I only put the cyan colored grid lines in to demonstrate how I came to the mathematical solution because those pieces need to be precise and therefore some measuring is necessary, you can't simply arbitrarily cut a few zigzags. That's why the pieces are shown the way they are. The red segment on the left and the one on the right are whole pieces overlapping the green room. I did solve it, then. 🤩

@MasterCrane Sorry my bad I interpreted your answer in another way. I thought you cut 12 different 4*3 and then rearranged that's why i posted questioning you😅

This is genius. So you only cut once, by slightly shifting the pieces you shorten one side by 3 and lengthen the other by 4. Amazing. I wish I was smart.
