Red Dead Redemption 2 is considered by many in the gaming community to be one of the best open world games ever created. A lot of unexpected encounters and gameplay moments can occur within the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, whether the player intends it to happen or not. This apparently includes crushing an enemy NPC under the weight of a dead horse.

Part of the beauty of Red Dead Redemption 2's gameplay mechanics is how well they play off of certain elements of the open world. Players can do things within the world of the game and then have the world respond to the player's actions in unexpected ways. For instance, the pigs in Red Dead Redemption 2 can eat dead bodies, which could potentially give players some ideas. However, sometimes interesting occurrences can happen completely by accident.

A Reddit user named Kenny_Gingers witnessed something rather bizarre while playing Red Dead Online. While fighting off a group of enemies, the player noticed that the last remaining enemy is trapped under the neck of his dead horse. After flailing around briefly, the enemy inevitably dies. This implies that NPCs can suffocate under too much weight.

Ultimately, this method of defeating enemies is quite situational, as there's no real way for players to be able to precisely trap enemies under a horse or some other heavy structure in order to eliminate them. Though, in many ways, it just adds to the level of detail and forethought Rockstar Games put into making Red Dead Redemption 2 what it is.

It's amazing to see that even after being out for nearly three years, players are still actively discovering new things to do in the game. Take for example, the fact that players can hitch hike in Red Dead Redemption 2 should they become stranded in the middle of nowhere without a horse. It's more than likely that players will continue to discover new things about Red Dead Redemption 2 in the years to come.

It will be interesting to see what direction Rockstar Games chooses to take Red Dead Redemption going forward. Given that it took well over eight years for Red Dead Redemption 2 to release, the gaming community probably won't see another franchise installment for quite some time. Then again, there are numerous Red Dead Redemption characters that Rockstar Games could pull from in terms of making a sequel. Although, that still might be a ways off in terms of releas
