I am part of this tracker, and I have a few 100 GBs of buffer majority of which I got via Tokens. In the last 24 months, Redacted gave a lot more tokens than usual as compensation for frequent tracker downtimes. I used them effectively, downloaded only near to 2 GB torrents of that current year as soon as they got uploaded (in Seconds), and I used Deluge for racing.

Now you get a small number of tokens soon on every promotion and milestone (Check badges). Coming to your question, Upload is the only way to level up in Redacted. But remember that for some torrents, even via Upload, you won't even get a 1:1 Ratio. That's how Redacted works. It has a bad ratio economy. That is why Redacted is not for music consumption. It is the tracker used to join other trackers.

Also, join Orpheus. Check Redacted & Orpheus forums, find ways to upload. You can upload via various ways (from Deezer and via other means), and you can also cross seed, but I don't think that will be much effective. That said, the only way is to upload.

Redacted is a journey. Stop downloading. Don't mess up your ratio. Take time, Have some patience, Read the rules carefully. Some day you will be able to join other trackers via Redacted. Depending on the time you spend on Redacted and the tracker you are looking to join from the Redacted recruitment forums, It might take a long time.

One last thing, I will repeat. Please read the rules carefully and get acquainted with them. That is very important, so you don't mess up.
