Meanwhile in reggae, one of the albums to get is Protoje's "Ancient Future". A young artist who's been around for 2 or 3 years now and is fast becoming THE top roots artist in the world.

It's selling very well and could get mainstream success and be as big as Bob Marley used to be.

Another current reggae album that is a must listen is "Dread And Terrible" by Chronixx. Another young artist who is actually a good friend of Protoje's.

Both artists are touring the UK this summer, so if reggae's your thing, go and support them. They both put on a top show.

Last recommendation for now - the new album by American soul/rock band Alabama Shakes titled "Sounds And Colour".

They're THE hottest band on the planet right now and frontwoman Brittany Howard has a voice for the ages somewhat reminiscent of Janis Joplin.

An electric live act too, though they recently finished their short UK tour - if you're in the US or Europe you can still catch them later this year.

Ahh nice, I too would definitely recommend chronixx, he's always consistent and releases some smokin jams~

Personally I discover so much through YouTube, Soundcloud, Grooveshark, and plug.dj. Also, watching people stream on Twitch sometimes that is a great way to discover new music!

I must've discovered a thousand artists through YouTube, Soundcloud and Spotify.

Twitch is good too since you're sort of "forced" to listen to what your favourite streamer plays. Discovered a lot of songs in Metal or Rock which I would've never checked out.

There is radio station started recently in my home city. They have a great range of electronic music.

My personal preferences are very vast, I have a love for dub, reggae, dancehall and most other Caribbean styles. Hiphop has a solid place in my heart. Then UK styles, Jungle, UK Garage, Bassline.

I was lucky I had parents who love music, real music.

I may be an outlier here with my love of traditional country music.  Caleb klauder and Reeb Willms has been looping on my stereo lately.

You're not  alone, I really that kind of stuff (Americana, Alt. Country, ...) too.

I usually find interesting stuff from youtube recommendations.

I just love the 80's, currently enjoying Billy Joel. A bit mainstream, but he has quite the singular style.

Absolutely love the impact of this one:
