Mariah 'uninvites Nick to Christmas'

Mariah Carey has reportedly 'asked Nick not to come' to family Christmas.

The 44-year-old songstress and her 34-year-old husband announced their separation in August, following six years of marriage. And now it's thought she's trying to keep a distance from him over the holidays.

"The original plan had been for the whole family to spend Christmas together in Colorado," a source told E! News. "However, Mariah has now asked Nick not to come."

The pair had previously confirmed they had plans to spend the holiday together with their three-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. But now Mariah is thought to have gone to the luxurious snowy destination without Nick.

"It's based on a few things. For starters, they spent Thanksgiving together and fought behind the scenes,' the insider explained. 'How is it healthy for the kids if both parents are technically in the same place but fighting?"

Mariah is apparently upset with the singer following the split, and blames him for her rollercoaster couple of months. She was recently criticised for her performance at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting event, where some claim she wasn't at her best vocally.

"She holds him partially responsible for the bad press her recent performances have gotten. She's been so stressed over the split-with the fighting and crying-it's definitely affected her state of mind, her head, her voice and her stage presence. It's rattled her," according to the source.

Nick reportedly 'says he's [still] coming', but it's thought this will be their last Christmas together. The insider claims it's getting 'too hard' for Mariah to be around her ex.

However, E!'s source also says the Hero singer was 'glowing' and " dressed to the nines as always" when she arrived solo in Aspen today, and "needed a hand from her security in navigating through the snow in really high platform boots. She had on full jewelry and makeup.
