In the past two years, ExtraTorrent, KickassTorrents, and TorrentProject shut down or disappeared. Torrentz reappeared as Torrentz2, and The Pirate Bay was blocked in many countries.

With Google Chrome’s ad blocker coming out in February and talks about the start of The Pirate Coin, it’s hard to keep up with which torrent sites are still active.

To help you out, we list the best torrent sites that still work.

The best torrent sites that still work:
1. The Pirate Bay
Definitely the most popular and clear favorite of torrent sites, The Pirate Bay has been around for nearly 15 years and has evaded government intrusion (which is saying something considering the recent crackdown on torrent sites). While the domain name changes quite a bit (it’s now back at .org), users can always find thousands of torrents.

2. RARBG
This site has slowly become a torrent favorite. While it’s not known to host as many torrents as other sites, RARBG has a reputation for good quality torrents and usually has the latest movies and TV shows.

3. 1337X
If the ads, trackers, and icons on torrent sites are too confusing, 1337X is a good site to go to. The design is user-friendly and intuitive, and the torrents are well-organized. Although users were once concerned about the site’s security, 1337X seems to have improved greatly.

4. TorLock
While probably not one of the more popular torrent sites, TorLock is a great resource for anime, ebooks, and music, which tend to be harder to find than movies and TV shows. The site also includes a popular downloads page.

5. Torrentz2
Originally known as Torrentz, the reincarnated site has gone through some changes recently. In December, Torrentz2.eu stopped showing links to magnet downloads, and users can now only download material using the hash. However, Torrentz2.tv still includes magnet downloads, although users have complained the number of torrents is fewer. Nevertheless, the site is still a favorite.

6. EZTV.AG
Due to a malicious takeover in 2015, EZTV is probably the most controversial torrent site among torrent users. Nevertheless, EZTV still has a lot of fans. The group releases their own torrents and was very popular on KickAss Torrents (you know, before it shut down). The group is still active and updates its own index daily.

7. YTS.AG
Another controversial yet popular site is YTS.AG (which is under the domain name .am for now). YIFI and YTS are popular groups that release their own torrents. YTS.AG, which according to TorrentFreak is not affiliated with YIFI or YTS, claims to be the only official website for the groups’ releases. Whether it is the official site or not, YTS.AG is one of the more popular torrent sites.

8. TorrentDownloads.me
Because it became such a popular site in 2017, torrentdownloads.me is blocked in many countries. This means that it’s only accessible with a proxy or VPN (which you should be using when you torrent anyway). Fans love the site’s advanced search index, which makes it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for.

9. LimeTorrents.cc
Nothing really stands out about this site other than it’s been active for five years now. How it manages to stay up and active is a mystery, but the site’s veteran status constitutes to it being a favorite.

10. Zooqle
Everyone seems to be talking about this website, which is only now gaining popularity. With over 3 million verified torrents, it’s become a favorite after KickAssTorrents shut down. However, you do need to create an account for it, which we’re not a fan of.
