Google has officially announced the availability of Android Auto Wireless, a feature which allows your phone to connect to your Android Auto head unit using WiFi.

The functionality is currently only available in North America, and the list of supported smartphones currently includes Pixels (both first and second gen), Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P.
