Parmanu – The Pokhran Story is on course to be a Hit. The film stood its ground on its second Friday as well, what with 2.05 crore coming in. Compared to the opening Friday numbers of 4.82 crore, this is a good hold.

As a matter of fact had this hold been there even without competition, it would still have been fine. However in this case, the John Abraham starrer was facing immense competition from the new release Veere Di Wedding whereas holdover release Raazi was continuing to attract audiences as well. The film should grow well today and tomorrow to bring in at least 6 crore more and that would set the stage for the 50 Crore Club entry by the time the second week is through.

On the other hand Raazi is unstoppable. Even in its fourth week the film is doing quite well, as reflected in 1.05 crore more that came yesterday. The film currently stands at 110.80 crore and one can expect at least 4 crore more to come in between today and tomorrow. That would allow the 115 crore milestone to be met.

It would also mean that the Meghna Gulzar directed film would enjoy the standing of being one of the most offbeat films to achieve a good Box Office number since the lifetime total of Salman Khan’s Tubelight [120 crore] would soon be history as well. Blockbuster!
