Panic! At the Disco have released a cover of Outkast’s epic hit ‘Hey Ya!’ Check it out below.

The band are the latest to take part in the ‘Spotify Sessions’ series and as well as covering ‘Hey Ya!’ they also recorded a new stripped-back version of their song, ‘High Hopes.’

Meanwhile, fans have been reacting to the cover on social media.

Panic! At The Disco recently won huge plaudits after they performed an impressive cover of Queen‘s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ at the American Music Awards.

After previously covering the iconic track during their headline set at Reading & Leeds festivals last summer, the Brendon Urie band revived their cover once more for the ceremony in Los Angeles. As the band were on tour in Australia, the performance was pre-recorded especially for the event.

Back in 2011, NME voted ‘Hey Ya’ “The Greatest Pop Song in History.” At the time of it’s release, NME‘s review called it “a loophole-leaping oddity doused in the tantalising, unmistakable tang of Something Truly Unique.”

Reflecting on the song’s success back in 2011, Andre 3000 said: “I know ‘Hey Ya’ will never happen again. I’m okay with that. I talked to this businessman, this great businessman, and he said, “Whatever you do, whatever brand you have, build it. Build it, until it reaches its highest point. Then step away from it. Or sell it. But you’ve got to know when to step away, you’ve got to know when to sell.”

‘Hey Ya!’ remained at number 1 in the US Billboard charts for 9 weeks and went to number 3 in the UK.
