The Dark Horse miniseries debuts issue No. 2 on Wednesday.

Trapped in the Upside Down, things are going from bad to worse for Will Byers.

Dark Horse Comics’ Stranger Things comic book series — which retells the events of the first season of the Netflix hit, from the point of view of the missing Will — continues this week, and has a preview of the new issue ahead of release.

Again created by the team of Jody Houser, Stefano Martino and Keith Champagne (with Lauren Affe on colors and Nate Piekos on letters), the second issue sees Will discover that he can contact his own world — and then deal with the realization that that means other creatures in the underworld will be able to, as well.

Talking about the series at launch, House said that she “wanted the comic to feel like a possible artifact from the 1980s in the same way the show does,” adding, “Getting to explore both the Upside Down and a character we didn't get to see much of that season sounded like a blast to write, and something that I know I'd want to read as a fan.”

The second issue of the four-part series will be released digitally and in comic book stores this Wednesday.
