  1. For people who have missed the last pm's on Xtremetv.org it has been a difficult few weeks for the tracker.First the Ts.version change gave folks trouble with logins. Then it was changed back to the old version so new members had to sign up again.yesterday Sunday 26 of February the tracker went offline completely and will or will not be back for 4 weeks. Some of the problems arise due to paypal giving out information about confidential records to unnamed sources but we all know who they are.The future for this excellent tracker is up in the air and i just like to apologize to all the new members who have signed up and members trying to find out what happened ,to keep checking back to see if they have returned. My heart goes out to all the folks who where hoping to join xtremetv. It was a great site.
  2. We are pleased to announce that we have finally reached a satisfactory user base. It has taken several years but we would like to continue providing you with a torrent site that excels on bringing you the latest and greatest torrents in the world and as such we are re-thinking the invite system to keep the server status optimal for the amount of users. We will be pruning old accounts over the next few months and, after a careful decision, staff decided that it was in our best interest to limit the number of invites granted to user classes and we have decided on the following: User Class Amount of Invites User No invites will be granted. Power User No invites will be granted, any invites remaining will be removed on the 25th of this month VIP 5 invite/month + upon donation more will be granted Uploaders 3 invite/month + upon donation more will be granted Again, we are pleased that so many users enjoy our site and help shape us into the best tracker in the world. We appreciate all the support we have received over the years and we continue to strive for the best. Thanks for using IPT and enjoy all we have to offer. Once your VIP class expires, the invites will remain on your account, but unless you donate again, there won't be any more added to your account next month Invites will be available as part of the prize in any future competitions, more details to follow but it will be something like 1 invite to the top 3 winning entries as well as the GB rewards which will remain tiered. Invites will also be given to the TCM and TDE teams for their contribution to the site Invites will be given to Power Users who are not staff members but help out in the forums with advice and knowledge in their respective areas Invites will be available to staff members (Forum Mods and higher)
  3. This is a Mass-PM and has been sent to all users on Ti Ti crew want to show our support and gratitude towards the SP community. We have decided to give all users on Ti 5 invites so you can invite your SP friends. Need more than that? Send staff a PM. Please remember that you are responsible for the people that you invite, if they misbehave, you may get in trouble as well.
  4. CinemaTiK (aka TiK) is specialized in DVD/HD-DVD non-mainstream movies such as art-house, classic, experimental cinema and documentaries. Here you won't find hollywood style blockbusters, mainstream or popular film that can easily be found on other trackers(unless the film has remarkable artistic value or merit.) You can join TiK tracker via interview or if your friend has Cinematik, can ask in forum. Here you will find rare/classic movies. The ratio should be easy to maintain at least 1:1, a lot of leechers and the freeleech torrents will give you a boost to build a nice ratio. First 3 days of March will be double upload credit for uploads. First 3 days of March will be Free Down Time. On the 4th of March the bonus points system will be changing. 6. The scene has started to move to a new format away from XViD and to x264 for SD (standard definition) releases. Simply speaking the x264 is better than XViD There will now be the 2 categories in the x264 format; Standard Definition Releases "TV/SDx264" and High Definition Releases "TV/HDx264" The TV/XViD category remains so please don't panic what you are seeding will remain seeding :) It is expected that this will be a gradual transition with some of the smaller shows to the new format but popular shows you will notice will be released as TV/SDx264. AUTOWATCH USERS Naming is very similar between the TV/SDx264 and TV/HDx264 releases so initially this may be a bit confusing for Users and for those that are using the "autowatch" feature there are some known issues that are being worked on behind the scenes due to the naming similarities. Users that already have TV XViD selected have automatically been set to "first SD on site" TV XViD or TV/SDx264 More on autowatch can be found here click here REMOVAL OF PS2 CATEGORY The 8 x PS2 torrents that are onsite have been moved into the PS3 category any further uploads for PS2 will be grouped under the PS3 category from here on in

  9. "Anti-piracy group Antipiratbyrån is making good on its threats to take file-sharing sites offline in Sweden. During the last 48 hours, police in Sweden and the Netherlands swooped on key staff and hardware connected to a long-standing private BitTorrent tracker. As yet another popular eBook site closes, famous tracker Scene Access is being warned – you’re next." Not SCC, please not SCC
  10. Thanks to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), which asked a judge to ban the world’s largest BitTorrent tracker, The Pirate Bay could well be blocked in the United Kingdom soon. A London judge has ruled that the largest P2P service in the world breaches copyright legislation on a large scale, and that both the service and its users are engaged in unauthorized sharing of copyrighted content like films and songs. The local media claimed that the ruling by High Court Justice Arnold would clear the way for the country’s pro-copyright outfit to request all Internet service providers in the United Kingdom to block the website. The matter is that High Court Justice Arnold decided that the administrators of The Pirate Bay authorize consumers’ infringing acts of copying and communication to the public. The judge believes that the BitTorrent tracker operators go far beyond just enabling or assisting. The head of the British Phonographic Industry, Geoff Taylor, claimed that the ruling would help clarify the legislation on online services blocking and it would now continue with its application to have The Pirate Bay blocked. Actually, the case against the world’s largest BitTorrent tracker was laid open after the High Court ruled that a United Kingdom’s file-sharing service Newzbin2 was violating copyright on a large scale. This allowed the entertainment industry to attack Internet service providers in court and demand them to block access to other file-sharing services, including The Pirate Bay. However, it is starting to look like the entertainment industry might just score another hollow victory for which it is rightly renowned. By the end of the current month, The Pirate Bay will no longer serve torrent files, instead shifting to magnet links. This will allow users download the original torrent file right from their peers. In addition, anyone willing to get access to The Pirate Bay is able to do so from any proxy. For instance, bans in Italy have appeared to have no effect on reducing torrent traffic. At the moment, The Pirate Bay seems to be headless with the giant’s co-founders sent to jail and ordered to pay $6.3 million penalties. However, against an operation like that, the entertainment industry is largely powerless.
  11. Starting from 23.02.2012 piratethe.net domain will no longer be accessible. Please use https://piratethenet.org domain to access the site from that date onwards. 12. As many of you have noticed already, Swepiracy has been taken offline by the Dutch police in cooperation with the Swedish organization, APB. Their server has been seized and the website shutdown. Right now this will not affect Ti when it comes to online status or any other forms of countermeasures. It's still too early for us to say 'do or die' in regards to Ti but we will, when we have something to say, give you information. Right now, Ti stays as is. For further information please visit: http://antipiratbyran.com/index.htm?id=news&p=p88[site is not in english]
  13. Earlier today we reported how RapidShare is throttling accounts of free users to drive away pirates. Now, just a few hours later, the popular file-hosting service is entirely unavailable for users without a premium account. All download links go to a ” 404 Not Found” page instead. For paying users the service works normally. At this point it’s unclear whether the message is intentional or a technical glitch.
  14. During the last week, users who rely on RapidShare’s free service have been complaining of reduced download speeds. Several theories have been circulating, mainly focusing on the file-hoster trying to drive users to take up premium accounts. But according to RapidShare the reason is simple – to drive pirates away from their service. Fast download speeds are still available for free, but they come at a different kind of cost. During the wake of the Megaupload raids in January, TorrentFreak continuously monitored the cyberlocker world. We watched file-hosters panic and we watched bewildered users of their services try to find alternatives. The fallout was fascinating to watch. Some hosters eventually closed down and some changed their policies, but it soon became clear that immediately usable capacity had become much more rare, at least on terms acceptable to users. Interestingly – and despite the glaring omission of a cash rewards program – around warez blogs and release sites we saw an increased interest in RapidShare. Site users asked again and again for uploaders to put material up on the Swiss-based file-hoster. Then a little over a week ago reports started coming in that users of RapidShare’s free service had experienced dramatic speed drops down to around 30/kbs. Speculation was rife that the company was exploiting the Megaupload closure fallout to drive users to their premium, non-limited products. So we asked RapidShare, and this was their fascinating response. “On January 19th Megaupload was shut down by the FBI. Shortly thereafter, several other file hosters curbed their services or entirely stopped their operations,” the company told TorrentFreak. “RapidShare has been faced with a severe increase in free user traffic and unfortunately also in the amount of abuse of our service ever since, suggesting that quite a few copyright infringers have chosen RapidShare as their new hoster of choice for their illegal activities,” the company explained. “We have thus decided to take a painful yet effective step: to reduce the download speed for free users. We are confident that this will make RapidShare very unpopular amongst pirates and thus drive the abusive traffic away.” RapidShare says that there is a direct link between free users of file-hosting services and copyright infringement. Those who like to pirate prefer not to pay, the company believes, not least because they want to avoid connecting their personal payment details to a copyright-infringing cyberlocker account. Now, there will be those who say that however RapidShare dress it up, the company will be aware that the restrictions will drive users to their premium services to get better speeds. But interestingly RapidShare is now offering ways for users to get faster download speeds without paying a dime – providing those uploading the original files they’re trying to access do some work. “We knew that through the action taken we would even affect some RapidPro customers, especially those who offer their own files via websites or blogs and heavily depend on a possibility for free users to download their files. Therefore, we have decided to offer those customers a kind of deregulation that allows free users to download their files with the fastest possible speed again,” the company says. What this means is that uploaders of content will have to provide RapidShare with details on the nature of their account including what type of files they’re sharing, the name of the sites and blogs where the download links are getting posted, and the uploader’s email address and telephone number. RapidShare adds that by signing up to the scheme, uploaders give the company the right to check their files and websites for illegal activities. In recent months RapidShare has made substantial efforts to demonstrate it is a responsible file-hoster that takes the law seriously, but this action is perhaps the strongest indication yet that the company wants to disassociate itself from infringing content and a Megaupload-style fate.
  15. Because of the new rules soon, .avi files will be replaced with .mp4 files encoded with x264! From today's releases, I've already seen the new formats. The quality is largely the same, but the file size is reduced from 350mb to 200mb. Not bad! For more information: http://scenerules.irc.gs/n.html?id=2012_SDTVx264r.nfo
  16. 2012-02-24 09:31:06 We have the worst luck with hard drives. Another hard drive has failed, forcing us to shift some stuff around on servers. This means the site will be operating in a degraded capacity until I have time to replace and repopulate the dead drive. Don't worry, no data was lost.
  17. Announcement: Site wide Freeleech After much debate we have decided to do a little experiment and do site wide freeleech. What this means is that download amounts will not be counted at all on any torrents and only upload will be credited to your stats. We want to see more people downloading and seeding as a whole and maybe this will have an impact. If freeleech is abused, it might never be done in the future so please dont ruin it for other members. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or any of the staff on site. Now get to downloading!! yeh, more freeleech
  18. There is a problem today with our server provider that is taking time to repair. Staff are working hard to repair the problem and hope this will be resolved in approx 5 hours. To make up for this, LW will be FREE LEECH for the rest of the week . Enjoy!
  19. After careful deliberation and number of discussions we have decided to treat all 10-bit encodes equally. Staying true to our goal of accepting only the best releases regardless of the way it's encoded all releases will have to be compared before the best one is accepted for every group we accept. So what does this mean? Well, usually where we already accepted 10-bit version where as 8-bit was kept it was because the newer encode was in some way deemed better, and the 8-bit will be removed. However we may allow some exceptions in group D if there is reason for it. New releases will be compared like normal. You should also bear in mind that this does not mean all BakaBT content is now going to be replaced, only the stuff that gets reworked, and that a number of fansubbers have already embraced 10-bit and most newer stuff will usually be released in 10-bit. As far as compatibility is concerned disregarding hardware players, which are usually incapable of playing HD encodes, most PCs that were able to process HD encodes and high bitrates with proper codec/video player.
  20. So you think you've got what it takes to be an uploader for SCC? Do you have access to scene dumps/private FTP sites? Have experience making .torrents and seeding? Have the ability to work with a team? Have a dedicated server with minimum speed of 100/100? Want to be a part of the best torrent site in the universe? Most importantly, you have to be dedicated! You will be mainly tasked with providing material for our archive section and filling the occasional gap in the other sections. Before you send a PM to Gee***, please read the uploader conditions. Your PM should contain a detailed explanation of your site (name/speed/country/affils) and your server speed/country.
  21. Howdy Folks! We will be doing a scheduled maintenance of the GFT web server around 12:01 AM GMT/UTC. Please continue seeding as usual as the maintenance time frame should only last around 20-30 minutes which should be ample enough time for your torrents to announce again. As always, contact your nearest GFT Staff for any questions or concerns.
  22. Yup, you heard right, uk-two.org is closing its doors and shutting the lights. We have listened to all your comments, your suggestions and complaints so we have been working tirelessly to correct as many of these issues as we can plus bring forward a higher level of security for our members. This could not be done here, So we purchased another server and set up shop there, this server is much faster and boasts less down time so this is to be our new home One of the biggest concerns brought forward to us was the org extension and its legal implications so we took on the .me extension as being far safer for all our users no matter where they live. So as of RIGHT NOW we are moving to our new location and name...http://uk-2.me or https://uk-2.me Your accounts are already there and all posts as of today and most of the torrents... ....why are you still here reading? theres nothing more to say except see you there source uk-2
