  1. A new video released by Eidos Montreal has shown off the new Shadow of the Tomb Raider hub, an ancient city known as Paititi. Paititi and its surrounding area will be the game’s main setting as Lara Croft attempts to stop a Mayan apocalypse from happening because of Trinity. Paititi, much like the Remnants in Rise of the Tomb Raider, is an area that’s been passed by time due to its isolation, a remnant of the Mayan culture that’s benefitted from its isolation. Within it Lara will be able to visit stores, take on sidequests, and use it as a place to resupply and use as a reference point while you’re out exploring the jungle and going through crypts. Much like with all of the Tomb Raider games, the Shadow of the Tomb Raider hub that Paititi is looks gorgeous, with ancient Mayan structures, picturesque jungle, and what looks like plenty of places to explore, so hopefully with what promises to be a fairly ambitious game we’ll be seeing a lot more videos in the future as we get to know the area more. Central America will be a pretty big difference from both a Japanese island and a lost Siberian city, along with a difference in culture from those other cultures, but hopefully Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be just as great as the other games. Not to mention in addition to the game’s story and all the different locations you’ll be exploring, there will also be plenty of tombs to explore. We’ve already posted a story that talked about all of the different Mayan-style puzzles that we’ll be seeing in the game’s various tombs, so seeing all of the other things that Eidos has come up with over the course of the game’s development will likely be just as much of a treat. You can see the Shadow of the Tomb Raider hub video for yourself looking further up this article, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider comes out on September 14 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
  2. Darksiders 3 is releasing this November as the last addition to the saga. This time, Fury the fourth sister of the Apocalypse will be the protagonist and her voice will be acted by famous Cissy Jones. What you might don’t know about this fact though is that Jones auditioned only 2 lines (which was only 4 words) to get the part. They are pretty classy too. During a talk with IGN, Jones talked about her audition for Fury’s role in Darksiders 3 and more. According to her, the audition consisted of just four words. “Hello, brother” and “With pleasure”. This might look easy at first but in the acting world, putting passion in what you say can make the whole difference. Both lines were auditioned for the Darksiders 3 reveal trailer, but after seeing its success Jones knew she had to do the audition for the full game as well. Regarding her role in the game, Jones also revealed that she not only wants to show how fierce Fury is but also her human side: “I wanted to take this badass and make her a little more human in certain ways. She has an arc and she goes through stuff that I’m not going to talk about, but [I’m] finding ways to keep her edge, but still bring a level of change to her.” Voice-acting is not a job to be taken lightly. Given her experience with titles like Firewatch and Destiny 2, Jones knew how to make herself like the badass Fury is, much like she did with her roles before. She also has an interesting opinion on voice-acting in general, pointing out that you have to have a presence in order to succeed on that carrier. She said: “I get so many people saying ‘Gosh, I just want to do voice over for some extra cash.’ It’s not that easy,” Jones says. “You have to know how to act with your voice and to make it believable and interesting. Also, you have to have a presence. You can’t just walk in one day and decide, ‘I’m going to be a voice actor’ and start working in all the things. It doesn’t happen unless you’re a celebrity.” Darksiders 3 is an action hack and slash game in development at Gunfire Games for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game will launch on November 27, 2018.
  3. The Fallout 76 beta has been announced on the official Bethesda forums to be happening sometime in October, giving us a better timeframe on when the game will be getting its first test cycle. The game itself will be releasing in November, so that might not give Bethesda much time to fix it. Fallout 76 is the first Fallout game to get a beta due to its gameplay; whereas all of the other Fallout games were single player, Fallout 76 is the first multiplayer Fallout game, with players of Vault 76 exploring the post-apocalyptic wilderness of West Virginia. The game was announced at E3 to be getting a beta before release, and now we finally have a release window. While there’s not a specific date, we do know that with the Fallout 76 beta coming out sometime in October we don’t have much time left to go before we can start playing it. However, there’s a stipulation: you’ll only be able to play the beta if you pre-ordered the game from a participating retailer, and it won’t have very much content, mainly being intended as a server test. That means that you’ll have to pre-order the game from the Bethesda store, or other places like GameStop and Amazon. You’ll then get a code that you can then enter on a Bethesda.net account in order to enter the code and get into the beta. Once that happens you’ll be able to dive into the beta when it becomes available, though the Xbox version will come first. Considering how popular the Fallout franchise is, and how much hype Fallout 76 got around it, it’s a good idea for Bethesda to try and test out and see if their servers can handle the undoubtedly huge influx of players. While the game will likely still have a lot of the various hilarious bugs that Bethesda games are normally known for, hopefully the server test for the Fallout 76 beta will prevent what will be the biggest problem for any multiplayer game.

  5. Innaarsuit, Greenland (CNN)The people of Innaarsuit know how to handle themselves around ice. Their small island off western Greenland is surrounded by it through every long, dark winter. They take dogsleds out on Baffin Bay's frozen surface to hunt seals and polar bears. They cut out holes and catch fish through it. Most importantly they know when to avoid it. But this summer an unpredictable 11-million-ton mountain of ice has parked itself right next to their isolated fishing community. The 170 people who live here can only hope it leaves quietly without creating a fuss. "It's the biggest we've ever seen here," says village councilor Susanne Eliassen, gesturing toward the mound of ice. It rises roughly 100 meters above the water, the Danish Meteorological Institute estimated to CNN -- around the same height as London's Big Ben. Standing on the shoreline before Innaarsuit's iceberg is an awesome experience. So is circling it in a boat. And flying around it in a helicopter. You could watch it all day. It is overwhelmingly beautiful. The side facing land is a straight drop from its sharp top edge, a sheer cliff of brilliant white. The rear side slopes more gently back to the waterline. A narrow arm juts out from one side with a perfectly formed arch that you could drive a boat through if you dared. From the air you can see a turquoise shadow beneath the surface — the only hint of the iceberg's vast underwater structure that is now snagged on the seafloor. Constantly changing There are cracks across every surface — some very deep. Even from a distance you can hear meltwater endlessly running through it. And every so often: a loud boom from within, followed by a part of the ice falling to the water. Like all icebergs, this one's always changing and getting closer to its end. The people in Innaarsuit fear it will end violently with a sudden breakup or roll, sending tsunami-like waves toward them. In the harbor, small fishing boats come and go, overlooked by the only significant employer here, a seafood processing plant. A seal carcass lies tethered, just above the waterline. Locals visit their community's only store. The iceberg looms over the scene. Hans Mathias Kristensen is preparing his boat for a two-day fishing trip. The 52-year-old now keeps it anchored on the other side of the island to protect it from the iceberg. This softly spoken hard man of the Arctic doesn't scare easily. "I'm used to it. But this one makes me afraid. My father taught me when an iceberg is stuck on the ground, the ice beneath the waters gets smaller, melts and eventually breaks," Kristensen says. "There would be huge waves if that breaks up." He remembers another iceberg long ago that destroyed or damaged 11 boats. Fisherman Hans Mathias Kristensen remembers another iceberg that destroyed or damaged 11 boats as it broke up. The village is made up of around 50 brightly painted, cottage-style houses scattered through a valley and the hills around it. Some are decorated with hunting trophies — seal and whale bones, polar bear skulls. The quiet here is broken only by teams of sled dogs, tied up around the settlement, often howling together. A viral video One person in this community has done more than any other to let the world know about the iceberg. Oline Nielsen always keeps a video camera rolling, pointed out her window. It captured a dramatic moment: a large chunk calving from the iceberg soon after it showed up in front of the harbour. That video has now been viewed millions of times. Video: 11 million-ton iceberg threatens tiny village 01:58 The painfully shy 28-year-old helps manage the village store. "I want to take photos and video for a living," she says. Other people here also hope the iceberg and its fame will bring opportunity. "That's good. For the tourists maybe," says schoolteacher Pia Kristensen. "They will come to enjoy the icebergs and nature. "It's peaceful. My husband is a fisherman. The other men fish. We have a lovely life here. Everyone knows each other." Scientists have many concerns about the negative impacts climate change is having on Greenland, its massive ice sheet and its many glaciers. But the Innaarsuit iceberg isn't specifically one of them. Nor are many of the other enormous chunks of ice found floating off this region. Oline Nielsen's video of the iceberg has drawn millions of views. "There is no linkage between this event and the retreating glaciers we see elsewhere in Greenland," says Keld Qvistgaard from the Danish Meteorological Institute's Greenland Ice Service. "The Innaarsuit iceberg probably originates from the Upernavik Ice Fjord only 30 to 40 kilometers south. The glacial outlets in the fjord are capable of producing very large icebergs. "In Eastern Baffin Bay there are about 20 glacial outlets -- some of them capable of producing icebergs bigger than the berg we saw off Innaarsuit." The right iceberg at the right time What's unusual about this iceberg is its location and how it got so close to one of the very few settlements here. Qvistgaard says that's just an extraordinary coincidence. "We had the right iceberg, with the right size, at the right location, at the right time of a moon phase. And it managed to find a channel all the way to Innaarsuit and run aground there, where there were lots of good people with cameras." Villagers felt some relief when the iceberg moved a short distance away from their harbor. But it stopped again. They now hope the next full moon on July 27 will raise sea levels enough to lift the ice off the bottom and allow it to drift away safely. The iceberg's towering presence hasn't stopped people here from enjoying the important things. On this night in the village a crowd of family and friends is dressed up to celebrate the Lutheran confirmation of a 14-year-old girl. Schoolteacher Pia Kristensen tells us: "I want to go dancing now!"
  6. Hello everyone, Currently I am using buffered vpn which was working fine, but recently I have noticed every time I disconnect the VPN it changes my original internet settings. I have to work all the way again to bring the default settings. Moreover, it also leaks IP most of the time. Looking for a new VPN which works smoothly and also not so heavy on the pocket. Would love to get recommendation on the Best VPN available currently available in the market. Any recommendations, suggestions, would be really helpful.
  7. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Fossils unearthed on a hillside in northwestern China are forcing scientists to rethink the history of a dinosaur lineage that produced the largest animals ever to walk the planet. Scientists on Tuesday announced the discovery of Lingwulong shenqi, an early member of the well-known group of plant-eating dinosaurs called sauropods with long necks, long tails, small heads and pillar-like legs. Lingwulong lived 174 million years ago during the Jurassic Period. Its name means “amazing dragon from Lingwu,” the closest city to the site where a farmer spotted the fossils while herding sheep. The scientists excavated bones from at least eight to 10 Lingwulong individuals, the largest of which was about 57 feet (17.5 meters) long, said paleontologist Xing Xu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who led the study published in the journal Nature Communications. Lingwulong represents the earliest-known advanced member of the sauropod lineage, as defined by anatomical traits that distinguish them from primitive sauropods that first appeared tens of millions of years earlier. The discovery pushes back by 15 million years the appearance of advanced sauropods, a lineage that later would include Jurassic giants like Diplodocus and Brontosaurus as well as Cretaceous Period behemoths like Argentinosaurus, Dreadnoughtus and Patagotitan that were the largest land animals on record. “Previously, we thought all of these advanced sauropods originated around 160 million years ago and rapidly diversified and spread across the planet in a time window perhaps as short as 5 million years,” said University College London paleontologist Paul Upchurch, a study co-author. “However, the discovery of Lingwulong means that this hypothesis is incorrect and we now have to work with the idea that, actually, this group and its major constituent lineages originated somewhat earlier and more gradually,” Upchurch said. Lingwulong lived in a warm and wet environment with lush vegetation including conifers, ferns and other plants. Its neck was not as long as some other sauropods, and it may have grazed on low, soft plants with its peg-like teeth. Because so many individuals were found together, the researchers suspect Lingwulong, like other sauropods, lived in herds. Lingwulong belonged to a sauropod subgroup that previously was thought to have been absent from East Asia because it evolved after that land mass split from the rest of Pangaea, an ancient supercontinent. “Our discoveries indicate that eastern Asia was still connected to other continents at the time,” Xu said.
  8. Switzerland’s financial regulator has accused Rothschild Bank AG and its trust subsidiary of violating anti-money laundering law in relation to 1MDB, the troubled Malaysian sovereign wealth fund. According to the regulator, both Rothschild Bank AG and Rothschild Trust AG failed to check where assets from a client came from. The firms reportedly disregarded signs that the funds could be connected to money-laundering and took the money anyway. The companies run by the Rothschild family are also accused of reporting on the issue too late. “Specifically, they were in breach of due diligence, reporting and documentation requirements,” Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) said in a statement. “Finma will appoint an audit agent to review enhancements already put in place by the institutions.” “We constantly strengthen our systems and procedures and are determined to continue to do so to identify and combat the increasingly sophisticated financial crime faced by the industry,” the bank’s spokesperson told Reuters in relation to the claims by FINMA. An investigation into alleged illegal practices by 1Malaysia Development Berhad was launched as early as in 2011. Top management of the institution is under suspicion for reported embezzlement of funds designated for state economic development projects. The FBI joined the case three years ago with investigators from Hong Kong, Singapore, Luxembourg, the UAE, the Seychelles and Australia also involved. The probe led to the arrest of former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak earlier this year. The top official was accused of alleged breach of trust and abuse of funds.
  9. A cosmic event that only happens every 35,000 years: July 27, 2018, the planet Mars will be as big as the Moon Two moons in the sky on July 27! The next time this cosmic event will happen again, will be 36,996 ……Share this information as much as possible with your friends because NO human being alive today will be able to behold this incredible phenomenon a second time. On July 27, around midnight, do not forget to raise your head and look into the sky: Mars will be the most brilliant star in the sky. This is because it will have an apparent diameter as big as the Full Moon! It will be possible to observe, with the naked eye, a cosmic phenomenon which will allow the inhabitants of the Earth to behold … two moons! This is the first time that humanity will be able to observe this exceptional phenomenon. The last planet Mars proximity of such magnitude dates back to exactly 34,978 years, the Neolithic period during which Neanderthal and Homo habilis, the distant ancestors of Homo sapiens, coexisted together. Species to which the human race – or more precisely, mankind – belongs today. This unique cosmic phenomenon called “two moons” is related, in part, to the proximity of the planet Mars with the Earth. As you must have seen on TV or read in the press, the planet Mars is now closer to the Earth, it is also possible to observe the orange star at night in the sky by looking towards the South. This phenomenon is quite common and appears about every 15 years. But what remains more rare is the conjunction of another phenomenon that has the effect of greatly amplifying the proximity of Mars to our planet. Indeed, the elliptical orbit of the giant Jupiter has a complex apochromatic altazimutal velocity for which the cyclo-parabolic projection (adjusted Lambert benchmark) is affected by a singular analemmic anomaly modifying the apside line (Editor’s note: the line joining the apocenter at the orbital periastron) which crosses precisely the orbit of the asterism of the planet Mars. The peculiarity of this recurrent phenomenon (commonly called “circumstellar elliptic conjunction of coercive neuronal elongation” among astrologers) is to allow the planet Mars to be projected into the telluric zone of solar attraction as a projectile ” launched from a sling ” and this, exactly every 34 978 years! In other words much more handy for an average Facebook user, Mars will be big in the sky !! For practical details, Mars’ heliocentric granular apogee will occur on July 27 at a distance of only 32 million light-years with an amplitude of -2.84 at maximum for a magnitude arc of 3.14 seconds. As a result, on this precise date, the planet Mars will appear in the sky as big as the full Moon!
  10. US President Donald Trump offered the EU a mutual refusal of duties to ensure market freedom and "fair trade." The main expert of the agency "FinEk" Mikhail Belyaev on air radio Sputnik predicted the reaction of the European Union to this proposal. US President Donald Trump offered the EU a mutual refusal of duties to ensure "fair trade." "The European Union is coming to Washington on Wednesday to agree on a trade deal, I have an idea for them, and the US and the EU are giving up all duties, barriers and subsidies! call it a free market and fair trade, I hope that they will do it, we are ready, and they are not! " - Trump wrote on Twitter. Minister of Economy and Finances of France Bruno Le Maire said last Saturday about the actual beginning of the "trade war" between the US and Europe. He made this statement during the meeting of the financial "twenty" in Buenos Aires. As reported, the minister noted the need for the US to take the first step to a dialogue, without which the European Commission can not formulate its proposals. The main expert of FinEx agency Mikhail Belyaev on Sputnik radio broadcast suggested how the EU can react to the idea put forward by Donald Trump. "I think Europe will not do it, because the general situation is now that the deepening of trade disagreements - we will not say the word" war "- is continuing, it is a matter of principle, and this is not a matter of desire: I want to - I do not want. the world, when the world actually splits into zones of influence, now we see only the beginning of this, the first steps.Of course, we can expect some kind of mitigation of approaches, but there is no total refusal, "believes Mikhail Belyaev. The US has earlier introduced increased import duties from third countries, including EU countries, steel and aluminum products. The reaction of the European Commission was not long in coming: a dispute was opened in the WTO with the United States on these tariffs, additional duties of 25% on the import of a number of goods from the United States into the EU were introduced. In addition, US President Donald Trump threatened the possibility of introducing an import duty of 20% on cars from the European Union.
