  1. NSO Pegasus spyware can turn on a phone’s camera and mic and collect emails, messages, and location data

    akrales_170802_1743_0245.5.jpg

A vulnerability discovered in Facebook’s WhatsApp messaging app is being exploited to inject commercial spyware onto Android and iOS phones by simply calling the target, reports The Financial Times. The spyware, developed by Israel’s secretive NSO group, can be installed without trace and without the target answering the call, according to security researchers and confirmed by WhatsApp.

Once installed, the spyware can turn on a phone’s camera and mic, scan emails and messages, and collect the user’s location data. WhatsApp is urging its 1.5 billion global users to update the app immediately to close the security hole.

“WhatsApp encourages people to upgrade to the latest version of our app, as well as keep their mobile operating system up to date, to protect against potential targeted exploits designed to compromise information stored on mobile devices,” said WhatsApp in a statement.

  2. Tennis World Tour is not a new game, having been released in 2018, so 1 year ago.

However in 2019 you will receive a special edition: Roland-Garros Edition.

    TWT_1.jpg

Tennis World Tour arrived last year on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC and was received with some mistrust by both players and critics (in a general way).

In order to "clean up a little," Maximum Games recently revealed the launch on May 20 of the Roland Garros Edition, a special edition that will bring some new features to the game.

Maximum has indicated that two more players join the vast cast of Tennis World Tour. Thus, Rafael Nadal and Kristina Mladenovic are now joined by a total of 22 tennis players.

In addition, and in order to make the game even closer to reality, BigBen Studios (development team) held sessions recording the movements of the players in a way that represents as realistically as possible the key movements of each one . For example, Mladenovic's mighty service or Nadal's Forehand.

    TWT_2.jpg

In addition, other news will come with Roland-Garros Edition such as the career mode that simulates a player's career, including training, matches, tournaments, qualifications and more ...

There will also be a powerful personalization tool available for our personal tennis player.

Tennis World Tour Roland-Garros Edition arrives on May 20 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.

  3. The game created by Mojang is the second best-selling title ever, just behind Tetris.

    pnwGveoqD7Q29q6eJ8K28uAzw=&W=800&H=0&del

Minecraft is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Created by Markus Persson and his indie producer Mojang, it quickly became a phenomenon, mostly linked to the explosion of youtubers and so-called "let's play". Since the release of the first beta in 2009, the game has sold about 154 million copies among its various platforms, making it the second most successful video game ever, only surpassed by the inescapable Tetris.

In 2014 Microsoft acquired the studio and intellectual property for $ 2.5 billion. According to data from 2018, the game still holds about 91 million active players per month.

    E0w=&W=770&H=0&delay_optim=1

To celebrate the special date, Microsoft has built a website dedicated to celebrating its tenth anniversary, full of information and curiosities. However, for those who have not tried the game, has been introduced its original version, which can be enjoyed directly from the browser. This version only offers the Creative mode, no enemies or bicharada, includes all classic bugs and a limitation of 32 blocks to work.

  4. Close Combat: The Bloody First is the latest foray into the Close Combat strategy series, developed by Matrix Games. Recently entered the Beta phase.

    CloseCombat_1.jpg

Close Combat is one of the most exciting strategy series for PC!
Close Combat is a series already with an enviable age and that even has managed to keep alive and with a legion of loyal fans, over the years. Recall that the first game in the series was released even in the last century and at the time was one of the best real-time strategy games.

It is an RTS in which the player has to control everything that goes on the battlefields, across various scenarios in the Second World War. Both the individual level units and the strategy on a more comprehensive level all have to be thought (and in real time) by the player. It is undoubtedly one of the best games of its kind.

The Bloody First will be the next incursion of Close Combat and its Beta has already begun.

Using the Archon 3D graphics engine, The Bloody First presents itself as a new step in the evolution of Close Combat. This is an ambitious investment by Matrix Games in order to bring a more realistic and realistic character to your real-time tactical strategy game.

    CloseCombat_3.jpg

The player will control the 1st US Infantry Division, better known as "The Big Red One", during World War II. Featuring 3 war scenarios, which run through the dunes of North Africa, the Sicilian invasion and the landing of Normandy, The Bloody First combines classic Close Combat gameplay with the new 3D Archon Engine.

The three war scenarios (North Africa, Sicily and Normandy) are divided into 36 distinct battles and make available to the player more than 50 vehicles and 300 separate units of Infantry, all based on units of altitude.

Close Combat: The Bloody First arrives in the PC in 2019, but still with no concrete date.

  5. HTC has been through troubled times. The company has not managed to have a strong presence in the smartphone market, where it was one of the dominant ones a few years ago.

The causes are known and apparently HTC wants to fight them. For this has thought the arrival of a new smartphone, the Exodus 2, with the Blockchain in mind.

    HTC_Exodus_1.jpg

When it launched the Exodus, HTC wanted to show the world that it could still innovate and create a different smartphone. The choice fell on the use of technologies based on Blockchain, because it was the one that was dominating the market and would be the future.

For this model, the company eventually used the U12 +, its top-of-the-line model. So he added some extra hardware and also altered the present software. The idea was to create a device where we could securely store Bitcoins and other digital coins.

HTC will have a new smartphone from Blockchain
As this model eventually met sales expectations, the brand now wants to create a new model. The Exodus 2 will follow the line of the previous model, but with the necessary improvements that are expected for a more recent model. HTC wants to further open up access to these technologies and sees its smartphones as the ideal tool.

    HTC_Exodus_2.jpg

According to Phil Chen, the director of decentralized technology at HTC, this new model is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2019. It also revealed that the development of Blockchain technology is at an early stage yet, but with immense commercial potential.

  6. Redmi is Xiaomi's latest satellite company and is now poised to launch a new high-end smartphone with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor. Among the new features we will have support, from the first day, for the latest test (beta) version of Google's Android Q operating system.

The 10th version of Google's operating system will arrive immediately on this smartphone.

    Android-Q-Beta-Xiaomi.jpg

Android Q was one of the priorities of the last Google conference, the I / O 2019 . Being the next version of its operating system, the tonic fell naturally in its innovations . However, we are also aware that the third beta version of this system is already available to anyone interested and with support.

The next Redmi will enjoy the news of Google

In fact, the latest beta version of Android Q is available for a total of 21 smartphones, spread across 13 manufacturers. Thus, we have one of the largest distributions of this previous and unfinished version of the operating system. Something that Google was proud of during the I / O 2019 conference.

It is, therefore, a profound paradigm shift as surely some of the readers will remember. In fact, until a few years ago, these test versions were only intended for Nexus line devices. Already, later, the Pixel would inherit this exclusivity.

  7. When Windows 10 was released, Microsoft had very precise goals and objectives for this system. They were high numbers, but with their expansion to other platforms would be simple to meet.

The truth is that time has passed and these numbers have lagged behind. Now, in Microsoft's official documents, Windows 10 has already passed the 825 million device barrier.

    novidades_windows_10_1-720x405.jpg

Microsoft's latest official figures show that the growth of Windows 10 has been at a good pace. After many months of growing slowly and unexpectedly, Microsoft has now shown that the latest data is positive for its system.

  8. The new emoji are neither men nor women, but all of us.

    p-1-90343461-google-releases-gender-flui

In 1999, the Japanese wireless communications company NTT Docomo released 176 pictures for people to quickly, efficiently, and emotively communicate on the tiny screens of their phones. Twenty years later, and we now have over 3,000 emoji and counting. On the one hand, emoji are getting more inclusive. They finally feature same sex parents, female scientists, and people in every skin tone other than Simpsons yellow. On the other, as these icons become more inclusive, each becomes less universal.

Jennifer Daniel, designer at Google, thinks about this deep irony at the heart of visual language all the time. She traces it back to the age-old problem with the male bathroom symbol. “That person could be man, woman, anyone,” she says. “But they had to add a little detail, that dress, and suddenly that person symbol doesn’t mean person anymore; it means man. And that culture means a man-centered culture.”

While Daniel can’t fix our bathroom signage, as the director of Android emojis, she can fix another problem: The lack of gender-neutral symbols in texting. She can give us the zombies, merpeople, children, weightlifters that are neither male nor female. “We’re not calling this the non-binary character, the third gender, or an asexual emoji–and not gender neutral. Gender neutral is what you call pants,” says Daniel. “But you can create something that feels more inclusive.”

Google is launching 53 updated, gender ambiguous emoji as part of a beta release for Pixel smartphones this week (they’ll come to all Android Q phones later this year). Whether Google calls them “non-binary” or not, they have been designed to live between the existing male and female emoji and recognize gender as a spectrum. Given that Google collaborates with many of its rivals on emoji, it’s likely that Apple and others will release their takes on genderless emoji later this year.

  10. It is one of the most popular genres or types of game today. The Battle Royale excelled at PUBG and has since exploded in popularity with Fortnite. Now it's the turn of EA's Apex Legends to profess their esteem for mobile devices, the next of the games coming to Android smartphones.

    Apex-Legends-Android-smartphones-720x405

Apex Legends will thus reach the Android smartphones, market currently divided between PUBG Mobile and Fortnite. Meanwhile, EA reported in its most recent fiscal report that it will bet on the mobile device market, in this case the mobile gaming market, with its recent title.

Apex Legends is on the way to Android smartphones

According to information , Apex Legends was one of the publisher's biggest revenue streams during the first quarter of 2019. Indeed, the title developed by Respawn Entertainment was one of the biggest surprises and new sources of revenue. Now, the next step will be the mobilemarket.

We are in advanced negotiations in order to bring Apex Legends to China and to mobile, EA advances. Once the negotiations are completed we will share a definitive date for your distribution.

Minecraft may be getting the Pokémon Go treatment.

    minecraft-ar-tease.jpg?itok=8zLNOSiy

Minecraft is one of the biggest games out there with a presence on virtually every platform, so it was only a matter of time before we saw it get the Pokémon Go treatment. At least, that was strongly hinted at in the tail-end of Microsoft's Build 2019 keynote.

In a short video teaser, Microsoft showed a woman picking up a stranger's phone left on a park bench. But when she looks at the screen, she sees Minecraft characters and blocks projected on the real world. At the end of the teaser, we see the words, "Tune In May 17th" along with a link to the official Minecraft site.

Our sources indicate that the Minecraft game is codenamed Genoa, and is launching for Android and iOS, potentially this year.

So, while it's unclear what form the gameplay will take, we'll get an early peek at what Microsoft and Mojang are cooking up on May 17.

  12. You'll be able to stream HDR10 content on the OnePlus 7 Pro.
    oneplus-6t-3.jpg?itok=kf2Oz9gp

With the OnePlus 7 Pro launching just over a week from now, the company is starting to reveal more information about the flagship. We already know that the phone will have a QHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and OnePlus has detailed that the screen is certified for HDR10+. Calling it a "display of the future," the OnePlus 7 Pro joins a handful of flagships that offer HDR10+:

    Quote

HDR10+ provides frame-by-frame adjustments for the optimum representation of contrast from the HDR source content. HDR10+ also produces 4000 nits of peak brightness, a massive increase of 3,000 nits compared to HDR10. Being an open format, it's license and royalty free and therefore easily adoptable by manufacturers and content producers with quality maintained through an HDR10+ certification and logo program.

The display on the device has already picked up an A+ rating from DisplayMate, with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau noting that the panel will set a "benchmark for the smartphone industry:"

    Quote

HDR10+ is the future of not just television displays, but also smartphone displays as well. We hope that our newest device will set a new benchmark for the smartphone industry and open up a new world of visual fluidity for users. We're glad we are leading the ranks in sharing quality technology with the world.

OnePlus 7 Pro is getting exciting color options in Nebula Blue and Mirror Grey.

    oneplus-7-pro-nebula-blue_0.jpg?itok=_VY

We already have a decent amount of information on hardware on offer with the OnePlus 7 Pro, and we now have a clearer look at the device itself. Android Central has obtained press renders from noted leaker Ishan Agarwal, and we get to see the all-screen front and other design tweaks. The render above is of the OnePlus 7 Pro in Nebula Blue, and it shows off the rear camera array — which now features three cameras.

OnePlus has confirmed that the phone will feature a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and the primary camera will be a 48MP sensor that takes 12MP photos. There's no confirmation regarding the third camera, but we'll likely see a wide-angle lens. Aside from the oblong camera housing, the design at the back is largely unchanged from the 6T. The positioning of the power and volume buttons and the Alert Slider is also unchanged from last year.

The major change is at the front, with the OnePlus 7 Pro sporting an all-screen front with no cutouts. The design is possible as the phone has a retractable front camera that's similar to what we've seen on Vivo phones of late. The mechanised slider means the OnePlus 7 Pro has virtually no bezels whatsoever, and the effect is pretty great. With the device set to sport a display with a buttery smooth 90Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution, the display is going to be the marquee feature on the OnePlus 7 Pro.

    oneplus-7-pro-mirror.jpg?itok=i3M8nEM9

The OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in a Mirror Grey finish that looks similar to the Mirror Black option from last year. The phone will be officially unveiled on May 14, and it will retail for €749/$749 once it goes on sale.

What do you make of the design of the OnePlus 7 Pro?
