The thing is... it's not as easy as yes or no. It boils down to what your usage is. If you really want a short answer : if you have a typical use of your computer, then No. But for some particular scenarios, NVMe is not only better but necessary.

I'd say try a few of both at first maybe ? I personally love the mood of some smaller PT and stick witth them mostly for that, not so much content. But even if smaller trackers are your thing you'll find that it's good to have some accounts in a few larger ones. No need to register everyhere because you'll notic that all those big boys post exactly the same torrents in the end, if with a few minutes interval. Which for most of us is not vital

Concerning seedboxes, rtorrent/ruTorrent is often the default installation so most people stick with that and don't even know that they can switch to other clients very easily.
