Hi there folks, Inclination (the newest admin) here with another update (this time a proper, non-vague one). The message you've been waiting for, and for some transparency’s sake (and to ease tensions due to ongoing prolonged downtime): Unfortunately some of our stuff went down together with IRC and it caught us out at a very inopportune time with people being busy due to the time of year and IRL responsibilities and ongoing personal issues. Being that we’re volunteer based, it will likely be a while before we return to full strength. The short of it is that it was just awful timing, above all else. I hope by the time we’re back, the long-promised server migration will hopefully happen that has been on hold for a while now. Once the server migration happens, things will be immediately be more stable so the extended downtime won’t keep happening like it has been. We’re not going anywhere, we’ll be back to full strength in the future and once we do, I’ll ensure we hold some type of site event to apologize for the downtime. Probably the upload contest I’ve been mentioning for a while now, or maybe an extended freeleech event. On behalf of our entire team, and entire community: thank you for the ongoing support and outpouring of love you’ve sent the staff and community’s way. It is never lost on us how important the site is. We all really miss our favorite site and we hope to be back as soon as we can.

This is from their tracker update status website.

  2. @brucewayne- I know you are looking for PTP in a possible exchange for IPT, but know this.  PTP is one of the most sought-after trackers out there.  If you had to buy an invite, you would probably spend a few hundred dollars.  IPT invites are a lot easier to obtain and if you had to buy an invite,  it would maybe cost you maybe 5 or 10 dollars? Just set your expectations right is my suggestion.  You can obviously ask for whatever you want, but I wanted to throw my opinion in here.

    Hey folks,

Just a very quick update from us here at Racing For Me, we have a new theme!....YaaaaaaY!
New look, new layout, new logo and a new racing season ahead of us. Things can only get better from this point on.
I'd also like to welcome all mobile device users out there, because we finally have a responsive design to match the 21st century!

Anyhoo, I'd like to keep it as short as possible, because it's kinda late here at the moment
Please have a look around and get used to your new surroundings. If you notice that some styling or images are missing, please go into your browser configuration and remove any cached data that you can find. Most likely there is still some old data cached in your browser and it will interfere with the new theme that we produced for you guys.

The site itself is still working the same, so it's basically just the theme and layout that has been upgraded.

We also introduced the API to RFM, which will allow you to do some pretty amazing stuff without even visiting the site itself, but more on that will be announced later on. Most of you won't notice any difference, because you can still download the .torrents as you normally would, except for the fact that it's now connecting to our API and will log more data than before. The latter is unfortunately a result of to many RFM members sharing their account or misbehaving in general.
But as I said, we will go into the API a bit further in a different post on a different day.
For those using the RSS feed, this will eventually affect you as well, but in a positive way. You remember the days when you had to store a cookie in your client in order to use our RSS feed? Yeah well those days are officially over! Our API will take care of it for you without any manual manipulation. For now the RSS feed will work as before so you can keep using it. But we do plan to switch it off in the very near future, but an announcement will be made when that happens.

Last thing I'd like to say before I hit the sack , is to enjoy your new surroundings and get used to it. This weekend the first Formula 1 race is scheduled and we will be having another donation offer to celebrate our new theme launch and the start of a completely new racing season... we can hardly wait!

Also, if you find any issues with the site, please create a new forum thread and post all your findings in there. That will make live a lot easier for me to get to all those nasty little bugs that you guys will find.

Have fun guys and enjoy the new and improved Racing For Me.

@dnaris there are some VPS and dedicated servers providers with auto setup for torrent clients, but at the moment, i think is best for all users to have only on the list companies that can provide full support and responsability for the seedbox. But thank you so mutch for the idea!

Yup you got it @Aguia.  Totally makes sense. Thanks for the feedback!
