720p VS 1080p

Hi guys. In this opportunity I want to ask you, in movie torrents, between 720p and 1080p, which one do you like, and why?

 

Because I can not see any difference, just de size, but the image, for me, is the same

in anime there is no difference between 720p and 1080p

 

but in tv series and movies you will find big difference between 720p and 1080p

 

in the past when i had limit internet connection i download 720p small size now i update my library to 1080 and some REMUX and HDR

Same to me ... ! Except some animation and action movie, I really don't feel the difference too Moreover there's less time to enjoy the life in recent days !

But in 4k movies is really different? I want to buy a 4k TV, with my external hard drive and my stereo, would be amazing, at least my dougther would be happy

for anime first release will get 720p after blu ray release 1080

I prefer 720p because my old NAS have problems to transfer 1080p to my TV without buffering and I dont see any difference in quality

maybe your monitor doesnt support 1080p so you'll see the same image

Depends on your TV setup, distance you're sitting from the TV, the decoder you're using, filters etc.

Generally, I do see a difference between 720p and 1080p, except in cartoons.

1080p is clearly superior. You need a good screen to take advantage of it. This is not even including 4k resolution.

It depends on the size and quality of your TV as to how much of a difference you will see.

Agree. 720p is good enough for low res monitor. These days people watch 4k.

720p for small computer screens I think is enough, 1080p for not too very big screens.

Depends on the monitor size, if its resolution is at least 1080p, then 1080p, otherwise I would stick to 720p

I use 720p x265 to save HDD space. My TV also has 4k upscaling and it works really well but only if the source file is really good quality, so I encode all my files from bluray remuxes.

If you can't see the difference then it doesn't matter... for me 1080p is better, but that is based on my eyesight, the size of the screen and how close I sit to the screen. 4k? now that is where I'm not so sure.

i always prefer 1080p in general, however, there isn't much difference in my opinion, unless watching it in big screens.

I just watch on a laptop so 720 is perfectly fine for me.

1080p all day, everyday. 720p is starting to get a tad bit dated at this point.

Stuff that I'm just collecting I'll have it in 1080 while stuff I want to watch seriously I'll grab it in the highest quality available.

1080p for sure. Can't live without it.
