A PC for a bit of gaming/editing, and 2 laptops - one is pretty high spec for day to day use (HP Elitebook), and the second one is to take on the road, (Acer 4810TZ).

Apart from laptop/netbook which are handy, on ebay I buy cheap: used dual monitor cards, used flat monitors, 5 mtr or+ vga cables (& female2female vga adapter), 5mtr or+ usb cables, extra mini-mouse all for little money and have monitors everywhere, living room sofa, bedside, etc. Plus long audio cable to hifi for mp3, winamp radios, etc. Used desktops are cheap too.

Which do you use? If you use mutiple computers, then tell what you use each one for.

I am presently using a laptop.

I'm using a desktop and a laptop. And an iPod if you want to call it a computer.

I've been using my laptop mostly lately because it's smaller and easier to use. But once I get around to setting up a network on my desktop, with a fresh install of XP (don't hate) I'll be using it for gaming.

Used to use one desktop. Currently using a laptop with a broken screen as a desktop and I use it as a seeding machine and another laptop (this one intact) as a work machine.

desktop for home -- browsing, movie viewing, studio recording etc.

i used to have a laptop for work and on the go but got rid of it, found i could do everything i needed on a smart phone from email/browsing to full server administration via rdp/ssh etc.

might be tempted back to having a laptop by the rumored new macbook airs with newer intel chips. the current macbook airr is already very impressive, but its pushing it to pay so much for outdated core2duo cpu's.

I only use a laptop and it is pretty enough for me.

I used to have a desktop at home but honestly with the laptops that we have nowadays I didn't feel the need of having a desktop. But that's just me....

Older desktop to supply the various digital media in my den, some web browsing, and access to the rest of the home network.

My laptop for my work, most of my web browsing, BT, gaming, ect. My last laptop is sitting unused awaiting inspiration to strike!

I use a desk top.

Iit's about 9 years old but i tend to find that desk tops

last a lot longer than laptops and are much easier to repair or upgrade
