You can get your hands on the special collection this Friday A new video for The Beatlesâ âBack In The U.S.S.Râ has been unveiled to mark the upcoming anniversary of âThe White Albumâ. Check out the clip below. The track appears on the Fab Fourâs classic record, which was first released on November 22, 1968. This year marks the LPâs 50th anniversary. In the new visuals, lyrics from the single appear in green, handwritten scrawls across grainy footage of the band. Flicking rapidly through various locations â including Moscowâs Red Square â the clip ends with the group taking off in a plane. The video features the â2018 Mixâ of âBack In The U.S.S.Râ, which will be included in the upcoming release. The milestone reissue of âThe White Albumâ was announced in September. A new edition of the iconic double record will be available in a series of âlavishly presentedâ packages with new mixes of its 30 tracks. It will also include 27 early acoustic demos and 50 session tracks, with many never officially released before. âThe White Albumâ anniversary collection will be available this Friday (November 9). Meanwhile, a new video for the âUltimate Mixâ of John Lennonâs âGimme Some Truthâ has been unveiled. The track has been given updated visuals, making Lennonâs lyrics all the more relevant as US citizens head to the mid-term polls. Earlier this year, Paul McCartney released his latest solo album, âEgypt Stationâ. Reviewing the record, NME said that âthis latest glimpse into his life feels like a particularly enlightening oneâ.

He dedicated 'Love Interruption' to the pair at his next show and encouraged the crowd to kiss their loved ones Jack White has said that he is âreally disappointedâ by a homophobic incident that took place at one of his gigs last week. The âBoarding House Reachâ rocker was performing at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada on November 2, when attendee Allyson MacIvor was asked to stop kissing her friend. As CBS reports, White was performing the hit âSeven Nation Armyâ when they were confronted by a member of staff. âI embraced my girlfriend, and some staff member came in between us, and she said, âThis is not allowed here,'â MacIvor told the publication. âIt was very violating and invasive,â she added. âItâs not something Iâd ever imagine experiencing, honestly.â MacIvor said that the venueâs manager âapologised profuselyâ after the pair were escorted to them by the employee. However, she said, âit still didnât help the incident and the hurt that came out of thisâ. Now, Jack White has responded in a statement on Instagram. Captioning an old photo of two women kissing at a Beatles concert in 1964, White said: âIts 2018 now and two people expressing affection shouldnât have to hide.â After saying that news of the incident last week âreally disappointed [him]â, he said that he dedicated the track âLove Interruptionâ to the pair at his following show in Calgary â âand encouraged everyone in the crowd to kiss their loved onesâ. âLetâs promote love and acceptance wherever and whenever we can,â White concluded. Meanwhile, last month saw Jack White lead a crowd in singing a Polish birthday song to his mother at his show in Warsaw.

"Everyone deserves to hear me at my best" Richard Ashcroft has announced details of rescheduled gigs in London and Manchester, after being forced to postpone due to illness. The former Verve frontman has been on the road in support of his latest album âNatural Rebelâ. However, Ashcroft now pulled shows at Manchesterâs Albert Hall on October 31 and The Forum in London on November 1 due to a throat infection. Now, Ashcroftâs website states that London date has now been rescheduled to Saturday December 22, while his Manchester show will now take place on Sunday December 23. Visit here for tickets and more information. âI want to say how disappointed i am to have to reschedule the upcoming Manchester and London shows,â he wrote on Instagram. âI was diagnosed by the Middlesbrough team doctor and he said the throat virus probably started before Glasgow. âIt would have been easy to say weâll just cancel Middlesbrough and Nottingham but the reason I was there is to play some cities like Middlesbrough that get passed on! It has really been hard to make this call but everyone deserves to hear me at my best. It hurts to think people have booked hotels etc, thatâs the worst bit.â I know you was looking forward too.â Ashcroft has made headlines recently with a bizarre appearance on BBC Breakfast, as well as burning a copy of the NME, and claiming that the âsachetâ seen falling out of his sock during his appearance on Soccer AM is a âdoctoredâ image. The singer was a guest on the show last month when viewers spotted what looked like a sachet appearing to fall out of his sock. He quickly swooped down to pick it up. A number of viewers soon shared footage on Twitter, suggesting that it was a small bag of drugs. âI donât know how many national publications printed a picture that someone had sent in from online,â he said. âItâs strange when you have been in the game this long that this idea would take place. But to see the effects of a doctored photograph by an individual, who we donât know who it is.But believe you me, you are going to regret doing that, whoever you are.â Ashcroftâs UK and Ireland tour dates are below. Starboy teased that big things are ahead... The Weeknd has promised fans that his next album is in the works and will be âcoming soonâ. The Canadian artist released his third studio album, âStarboyâ, in 2016. It was followed by the surprise âMy Dear Melancholyâ EP earlier this year. Reviewing the six-track collection, NME said: âWhere âStarboyâ often drifted into forgettable airiness, his latest offering is tighter and more focused, with greater attention to detail.â Now, the musician â whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye â has updated fans on the progress of his next full-length. Speaking to the crowd during a show in his home city of Toronto, The Weeknd said: âI wanna let you guys know, being in Toronto these past two days⊠I havenât been this inspired in years, I got to tell you.â Check out a clip of the moment below. Revealing that heâs âworking on my [his] album right nowâ, Tesfaye promised: ââChapter 6â coming soon, letâs get it!â Hinting at big things to come, the singer tweeted: âsome chapters are smaller than others. not this next one thoughâŠâ Earlier this year, The Weeknd said that heâd finished work on a âvery upbeatâ and âbeautifulâ album that will never be released. After saying that the shelved project was written âa different timeâ in his life, he added: âI donât want to perform something that I donât feel.â Meanwhile, it was reported last month that The Weeknd and Daft Punk are being sued over claims that they âripped offâ a poet on the hit âStarboyâ.

"Sheâs so, so unbelievably happy" Ariana Grandeâs brother has praised the pop star for delivering a âpowerfulâ and âconfidentâ message with her new single âThank U, Nextâ. The âNo Tears Left To Cryâ singer released the surprise track last weekend, after teasing it on social media. The song references Grandeâs ex-partners, including Mac Miller. âWish I could say thank you to Malcolm / âcause he was an angel,â Grande sings of the late rapper. Now, Grandeâs brother has said that he cried after listening to the singleâs poignant lyrics â adding that the star is âunbelievably happyâ following its release. âI am unbelievably proud of my sister,â Frankie Grande told E! News. âThis project that she has been working on, itâs from the heart. If you listen to the lyrics⊠I sobbed and I cried the first time she played it for me.â The reality star said that the line ââŠthis one gonâ last, âcause her name is Ariâ left him particularly emotional, âbecause itâs a message of self-loveâ. âAnd if you donât put yourself first, then no other relationship matters, and no other relationship is going to work. He added: âWe are happy that she is happy, and the message is just so powerful. Itâs helping other people, too. Like, sheâs helping other people get through difficult times and difficult breakups. I think that thatâs really the best part about this whole thing: being able to help another person.â Frankie Grande said that the star is âso, so unbelievably happyâ and âso pleasedâ with fansâ reaction to the track. Yesterday (November 6) saw Ariana Grande unveil the cut-and-paste style lyric video for âThank U, Nextâ.

He made the claims at a launch of his new imprint 'Merky Books' yesterday evening Grime MC Stormzy has claimed that the scholarship scheme that he launched to help young black British students attend Cambridge was originally rejected by Oxford University. Now, Oxford University have responded to the claims with an official statement. Stormzy made the claims yesterday evening (November 7) at the Barbican Centre whilst speaking at the launch of his new publishing imprint, #MerkyBooks. Earlier this year, Stormzy announced the launch of the imprint, in partnership with Penguin Random House saying âWe will be using this as a platform for young writers to become published authors.â Appearing alongside poet Benjamin Zephaniah, author Marjorie Blackman and rapper Akala at the launch event, Stormzyâs claims were tweeted about by journalist Dan Hancox. âTonight at the Barbican Stormzy revealed that the much-discussed scholarship heâs finding at Cambridge Uni was first proposed to Oxford University, and they told him to get lost?! Incredible.â A spokesperson for Oxford University said: âOxford University is committed to widening access and participation for all students from under-represented backgrounds. We admire Stormzyâs commitment to inspire and support black students to succeed in higher education. âWe have not received or turned down any offer or proposal to fund undergraduate scholarships at Oxford. We have contacted to Stormzyâs representatives today to clarify we would welcome the opportunity to work together on inspiring students from African-Caribbean heritage to study at Oxford.â The Stormzy Scholarship came after Cambridge faced extensive criticism for the lack of pupils from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. In 2017, only 58 black students were accepted onto undergraduate courses, while in June the university asked schools to help increase the amount of ethnic students. In June, the university asked for help from schools and parents to increase the number of black British students it enrols. It came after the Financial Times found that some Cambridge colleges didnât take in any black students from 2012 to 2016. The university says that it admitted 58 black students on to undergraduate courses in 2017. Last year, Stormzy also made headlines by donating ÂŁ9,000 to a crowdfunding campaign for a fan to attend Harvard. In order to apply for this yearâs Stormzy Scholarship, all applicants must be of black ethnicity and received an offer to study at Cambridge. The application deadline is 30 August. The students receiving the scholarship will be selected from a list by a panel of Cambridge University staff. Last week, Stormzy said he blamed his teacher for not getting into Cambridge. after a prank at school. Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Stormzy said: âI wouldnât say I decided not to [go to Cambridge]. Life, and the teacher who kicked me out of college, also probably decided as well. âThat was always the path that I was supposed to go on⊠I got kicked out [of school], not for anything crazy. Itâs going to sound way crazier than it was: I put loads of chairs on another student. It sounds mad but we were messing around, it was horse play and I just put loads of chairs on the student so he was trapped. âEnough to entrap the whole human body. It was a spontaneous attack actually. It was just some banter, as you do⊠It sounds crazy, but it was just jokes. It was like the hundredth strike, you donât get kicked out for putting chairs on someone. I was just a little shit, Iâll admit it now.â Stormzy also recently published his autobiography yesterday Rise Up: The #Merky Story So Far, in which he documented the racism heâs had to deal with in his life and career.

Of course Morrissey wore his own T-shirt as he did so. Morrissey has appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden to perform his cover of The Pretendersâ âBack On The Chain Gangâ. Morrissey wore one of his own tour T-shirts for the performance, while his backing band wore matching T-shirts bearing the slogan âLiving bodies that actually moveâ. Itâs a T-shirt Morrisseyâs band has occasionally worn in concert before. The former Smiths singer had announced last month that a studio cover of The Pretendersâ No 17 hit âBack On The Chain Gangâ would be included on an expanded reissue of last yearâs album âLow In High Schoolâ. A video for the song features Morrissey playing guitar for the first time â Morrissey had previously stated he preferred not to play guitar, as it gave him better freedom of movement on stage in concert. Morrissey first covered the song in October 2017 for 6 Music. âBack On The Chain Gangâ is one of The Pretendersâ most famed songs, having reached No 5 in the Billboard Hot 100, but has rarely been covered before Morrisseyâs version â Brazilian singer Danni Carlosâ version on her 2004 album âRock&Road Againâ is the only other known in-studio take on the classic. The expanded edition of âLow In High Schoolâ, released on December 7, will feature three new songs in addition to âBack On The Chain Gangâ and five live recordings. The new songs are âLover-To-Beâ, âNever Again Will I Be A Twinâ and âThis Song Doesnât End When Itâs Overâ. The live songs are âYouâll Be Goneâ, âAre You Sure Hank Done It This Way?â, âI Didnât Know What To Doâ, âJudy Is A Punkâ and a version of âRose Gardenâ recorded at famed Nashville venue The Grand Olâ Opry. Morrisseyâs performance for James Corden is a rare TV appearance by the singer, who most recently appeared in the UK on Alan Carrâs Chatty Man on Channel 4 in September.

The reclusive producer has shared his thoughts on romance in the digital age in a new interview Aphex Twin has revealed he would be âtoo scaredâ to try online dating. The reclusive producer, whose real name is Richard D. James, has opened up in a new interview about his life and music, including his views on romance in the digital age. Speaking to Crack, James discussed sampling his familyâs voices in his music and the importance of formant patterns in peopleâs voices. âI think [itâs a factor] when youâre attracted to someone as well,â he said. âEveryone knows that you need to know if you fancy someone physically, thatâs the obvious thing. The less obvious thing is if you like someoneâs voice. âMaybe smell would come second for a lot of people but I think the voice is really important as well. And this is based on no evidence at all but itâs my theory that if you donât like someoneâs voice youâre probably not a good genetic match for each other. Girls that Iâve liked, Iâve analysed their voices the way you do⊠well the way I do things⊠and Iâve seen some characteristics that are similar with [their] voices.â As the conversation moved onto online dating, the producer explained he had never tried it but would be âtoo embarrassed to meet peopleâ if he did. âIâd be too scared, I think,â he said. âBut then thatâs quite nice as well, isnât it? To overcome your fears. I expect youâd get a good sense of satisfaction even after it goes wrong. Like, âOh well, I did that.â He continued: âI suppose with things like that you just have to not think about it, just do it. Which is the situation with so much of life. Weâre thinking too much about stuff rather than just being. That can lead to a lot of problems. You just need to just do stuff. Like if you saw a girl or a boy that you fancied, if you thought about it too long you wouldnât do anything. Eventually, the brain is just gonna talk you out of it.â James released his latest EP âCollapseâ in September. A video for its track âT69 Collapseâ was pulled from a scheduled TV premiere at the last minute after it failed the Harding Test, which helps decide whether videos may cause a reaction in people suffering from photosensitive epilepsy.

The first single from it will reportedly arrive tomorrow (November 9) XXXTentacionâs first posthumous album, âSkinsâ, will be released next month, according to reports. The controversial rapper was working on the record before his death. He was shot and killed in June while leaving a motorcycle dealership in Broward County, Florida. Fans have shared screengrabs of an album listing on iTunes, which claims the record will be released on December 7. The listing is not visible on the UK iTunes store and a link shared online by fans to the album on the New Zealand iTunes store no longer works. âSkinsâ will feature 10 songs and be 17 minutes long. It has been suggested the album length means the tracks will be released as XXXTentacion left them, however, in an audio clip posted to his Instagram story this week, the rapper can be heard saying: âIâm gonna make this album super short. Itâs literally gonna be a minute.â âBadâ, the first single from the album, will reportedly arrive tomorrow (November 9). A countdown on the rapperâs official website also suggests an exclusive merch range could drop at the same time. A video on his Instagram story also showed patches with the word âBadâ, sizing, and laundry symbols on them. âSoon⊠handling with care but I promise you itâs worth it,â text on the video read. âOh by the way I designed all those myself.â XXXTentacion appeared on Skrillexâs new single âArms Around Youâ, alongside Lil Pump, Swae Lee, and more last month. Since his death, his voice has also featured on tracks with Lil Peep and Lil Wayne, while Kanye West has said he will also appear on his upcoming record, âYandhiâ. A secret recording was obtained last month on which the rapper could be heard confessing to a series of violent crimes, including domestic abuse.

Trump's team had previously said they would stop playing Young's songs Neil Young has spoken out against Donald Trump once again after the US President has continued to air his music at rallies without permission. In 2015, Trump played Youngâs âRockinâ In The Free Worldâ at rallies during his presidential campaign. The musician asked him to cease doing so and his team agreed, saying: âWe will respect [Youngâs] wish and not use it because itâs the right thing to do.â However, the song has been a part of Trumpâs midterm events, causing Young to speak out against him again. âDT does not have my permission to use the song âRockinâ in the Free Worldâ at his appearances,â he wrote in a statement on his website. âLegally, he has the right to, however, it goes against my wishes. I made this perfectly clear after he played it in a media moment to announce his candidacy. I asked him then, in a widely shared public letter to cease and desist.â Young continued: âHowever, he chose not to listen to my request, just as he chooses not to listen to the many American voices who ask him to stop his constant lies, to stop his petty, nasty name-calling and bullying, to stop pushing his dangerous, vilifying and hateful rhetoric. This man does not represent the character of the people in the USA that I have come to know and love.â He concluded by acknowledging the fact that, as a Canadian, he canât vote in the US, but encouraged his fans to âtake this great opportunity to make your voice heard.â Young is not the only musician to demand Trump stop using their music at his campaign events lately. Rihanna sent the President a cease and desist letter when he used âDonât Stop The Musicâ at a rally, while Axl Rose, Pharrell Williams, Steven Tyler, and Princeâs estate have also said he does not have their permission to play their songs. Rose suggested Trumpâs team were using âloopholesâ to play artistsâ music at rallies without their consent.

He spoke out after a report found that half of LGBT people have experienced depression Will Young has called for better education in schools to improve mental health for LGBT students, saying ânothing has been doneâ. The singer was a guest on Radio 4âs Today programme to discuss the publication of a report that found half of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender have experienced depression. âWe have to look at the causes of mental health amongst LGBT people,â he said. âIt is because itâs still not tackled in schools. âNothing has been done about the misappropriation of the word gay, that used to mean happy. Now it means⊠thatâs wrong, thatâs disgusting.â Following the broadcast, Young tweeted that appearing on the show was a âdream come trueâ, but that the subject was âa bit dispiritingâ. Young also revealed that he has met with two education ministers over the last five years and described a âclimate of shameâ that LGBT people face. âOf course thatâs going to lead to low self-worth, low self-esteem, self disgust,â he said. âItâs all about language. No one is looking at the misappropriation of the word gay in the classroom.â Earlier this year, Young revealed that he was made to re-record his early hit âLeave Right Nowâ because he âsounded gayâ. The 2003 single was Youngâs first from his second album âFridayâs Childâ, and went to number one in the UK following its release. LGBT equality charity Stonewall found that of 5,000 people surveyed, 52% had experienced depression in the last year and 61% said they had suffered anxiety. The charity also highlighted that mental health problems were particularly concerning among transgender people, with 12% saying they had attempted to take their own life in the last year, compared with 2% of LGB people who are not trans. âIf youâre gay you might not have safety at home,â continued Young. âIf you donât have safety at school you have nowhere, so you become isolated, the shame gets worse. âItâs not taken seriously and the reason itâs not taken seriously is people still see it as a choice and itâs linked to sex and we donât talk about sex in schools. Itâs not linked to love.â
